Theres more to a great performance than what you can derive from youtube. Honestly you ought to see her perform live. Saw her in beetlejuice. She was awesome.
This was one of my least favorite songs on the Soundtrack...but, I've grown to like it. Probably partly due to the the things about that are a bit off, and strange.
She's better looking, for starters. She was cast as a bedazzled school girl AND she can sing..beautifully...hits every note dead on, and with superlative phrasing that would make Sinatra and Garland jealous. She was not cast as an opera singer, although I'd be interested in hearing her try. I wish I had the opportunity to back her up with my sax. The song itself has wonderful harmonies, key changes, and counter melodies. Combined with the fluid imagery of the lyrics...well, who could ask for more in a musical score?
LETS BE REAL HERE, Kerry can sing like An angel

There's no doubt that her range and strength are impressive, but am I the only one who finds Kerry's tone quite nasal?
Kerry OWNS THIS song!

A nasal Minnie Mouse. I don't understand the adulation.
