Yesterday I saw this film.. It's very well crafted indeed and Alister M. impersonating voice it is just splendid. A nice treat for Hitchcock's fans.. As myself 🌟
I just watched and I want to thank Dogwoof and Mark Cousins for bringing back this master again to our lives, this documentary is a gem, and hat off to Alister McGowan.
Oh dear, was excited to see this but not so much after this trailer. The actor mimicking HItchcock's voice is passable - and it's a difficult task no question - but I find it a bit forced and distracting, to me it doesn't capture Hitchcocks opaque and darkly ironic tone. The director seems a bit too pleased with himself as well. Will reserve judgement until seeing it however.
Hitchcock's my favorite director, so I eagerly clicked on this trailer, in anticipation of eventually seeing the film, but the AH impression voice was super annoying and distracting. Because of that, I barely made it through this. If the film itself has this voice for any more than what's here, then count me out. i hope it's only in this trailer.

My favourite Hitchcock film is The Lodger (so underrated). I'm really looking forward to watching this new film!
Getting Micheal Caine to do the voice of Hitchcock was a stroke of genius
Michael Caine??? lol... It's Alastair McGowan, famous British impressionist, and brilliantly done too, if I may say.

😂 Thank you for that!
Alistair McGowan's impersonation is otherwordly. Masterpiece.

If only they could have gotten Peter Bogdanovich to do Hitchcock’s voice. His impression was spot on. (RIP)
¡Qué ganas de que se programe, por ejemplo, en Filmin!
Mark Cousins = insufferable
Voice Over = ludicrous
+ a few drinks or a smoke = funniest film of the year?
Sold
"Am ready to tell ma story" - why does he sound like a cowboy?
It's the leytonstone in him.
Alistair McGowan doing the Hitchcock voice. (Uk impressionist)

Just wait until Ai can do the voice over
The person doing the voiceover who's pretending to be Alfred Hitchcock doesn't sound anything like him. It's jarring that it's so different.
Yeah I don't find it convincing.
It’s very good
He sounds 100% like Hitchcock, what TF are you talking about?
Too bad the impersonation is so distracting, not close enough to the real guy. It's a good idea that should be redone using AI.
AI isn't good enough yet
@@adrianhallchannel Oh, really?
AI voices are still pretty awful, maybe in five or ten years it would work, but we're a way off from that yet.
It's doing things like that which is making actors go on strike.
@@JavertRA In this case, impersonating a real person, AI, which samples real vocal examples, would be perfect.
Got the cockney accent right but not the voice!
