This I played last year at the concert in May, and the percussion decided today is a good day to drop all of our mallets on the ground and not play for the first 20 seconds, and on top of that play so loud at the main melody it just sounded like a freaking solo, and of course somebody snapped a mallet at the flute part. HOW DO YOU DO THAT, My band teacher rescheduled the concert for the week after and canceled the one we were doing there cause it was that bad.

This was my first band song and it still holds up really well. Now we’re playing Antagonist which is technically just glorified Shockwave, but despite being so easy this is one of the most legendary songs at our school
At the end takes a lot of practice for the trumpets, I play trumpet and to not make a honk at the end, we are like “”we are at Virginia”” no honk at the end
I'm learning this song rn in band! Although I do the drums and I'm the only percussionist. My class is very small compared to other classes. This was also my first year doing band since I didn't get the chance to other years. My band director has also recently quit her job (bc of burnout) and we have the chorus teacher "Subbing" for us. Just to say that she knows nothing abt band. So, she had gotten a professional to come teach us. I'm very glad she did that bc we can actually learn something!

Ya'll lucky, at my school Clarinets are first row and Flutes (Which is what I play) are second row when we have a band concert :(
