In college, my wife came to my apartment with her boyfriend at the time. I was having a huge party. I saw her from across the room and I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Took my breath away. But I was so distracted by my party that I didn't even introduce myself. We made eye contact a number of times. I was completely struck by her. Years later I saw her not her, by chance, when I was waiting for someone else to come out of an apartment building. I asked her out immediately. I wasn't going to lose her again. By a miracle, we were both recently single. We've been married twenty years. 3 children. I still obsess about her all the time. Completely in love. Every single day I try to figure out some way to make her day better or create our weekly date night so she feels loved. It's really strange how much you can love someone... And how that love just gets stronger. I have probably 15 pictures of her in my office. Most from before we met. I look at them and I think "That beatiful young woman doesn't even know it yet...but she's going to be the mother of my children some day." It fills me with love. And this movie was my inspiration for asking her to go on that first date.

I always wondered why they never just exchanged numbers, maybe Brads character thought about it but hesitated 🤷🏻♂️ these are the types of hesitations that eat at you later on, the “what if” scenarios.
Writers needed to somehow kill the character. A "hey, meet me here again tomorrow @ whatever o'clock" would be enough, the question is: is it worth adding a more rational approach to make the plot move, if the resulting scene will be less 'emotional'?
It's because it's not VFX. They used fifty different prop dolls, filled with different stuffings. Go watch the making of. Interesting stuff. Unfortunately, many people laugh about it and think it's too exaggerated. I think it's fine and quite realistic.
