Frightened Rabbit are fantastic. So many amazing songs to discover, Scott was such a talented song writer. Still not over his death
100% same...he was an all-timer. Saw them play twice and it was so incredible.

I found Frightened Rabbit while watching the TV series Chuck and they are amazing! It's a shame that the lead singer is no longer with us but that doesn't mean we cant enjoy the music.

The record this song is from is iconic (Midnight Organ Fight). This and Bon Iver’s For Emma… Forever Ago are two records that helped hugely with a bad break up I was having at the time.
There's an A.V. Club live full band session that was recorded about a week before Scott took his life. In the comments someone states that they'd love to meet the demons that took him from us too soon and beat the everloving crap out of them.
A feeling a lot of us share to this day.

There are a lot of great FR songs, this wasn't the best version to start with. Poke is an absolutely devastatingly beautiful song, perfect. They have more upbeat songs, but definitely a band worth diving into. Check out Manchester Orchestras cover for the tribute album as well. Andy Hulls live version of My Backwards Walk is beautiful.

This is one of my favorite live performances of them. I was lucky enough to see them a few times before Scott's passing. He will always be one of my favorites. He got me through many stages of my life.

Give a listen to their song "Swim Until You Can't See Land". It's a beautiful and heartbreaking song. Beautiful, because Scott Hutchinson just does that. Heartbreaking, because although Scott wrote about rejecting bad habits and renewing one's self, years latter...he actually did that and never came back to us.
There’s always something comforting in an acoustic guitar. I think Stephen King (before he went batshit) put it best when, in The Stand, he wrote that you can’t help but like someone who likes a guitar. I like this; it’s therapeutic in it’s simplicity.

Man. I love that you reacted to this song/performance. But you obviously didn’t understand any of this until the very end. I think maybe it would be great to see someone watch a performance for the first time and react. And then watch it again once they have more context.
