Brian Stelfreeze Draws Batman | SYFY WIRE
/ syfywire
I really like the insight he has about creativity vs editing.
Seriously, this opened my eyes up to creating better!
I could listen to this guy all day. All kinds of good info here.
I love this dude´s style, is sooo .....STYLISH!
His Batman and Black Panther images amazing.
Hearing him talk through his process is really neat!
I have a few Shadow of the Bat comics with his covers. Great stuff.
Sir you are a brilliant artist and even better teacher.
Loved his covers for Shadow of the Bat!
That's great. It's awesome to see stelfreeze back in the spotlight.
Incredible artist, and so eloquent and thoughtful about his process. Love this guy.
I just met him a week ago in Toronto, at FanExpo, and the insight he offered for just one part of drawing/sketching was absolute gold. It's something I'm sure you cannot even get in art school.
I could listen to him talk about 'how to draw' all day...
Wicked Cool, Sir!!!! I will be sharing this with my students in the Bronx.
Nobody draws Batman like this anymore. I miss it. BTW Shadow of the Bat is peek Batman for me. Those covers are perfection
A commenter above voiced their disagreement over Batman's size but I actually love the thin, seemingly unkempt feel of this Batman. He looks like a raggedy, nightmarish, underfed spectre of the night. Very vampire-like. Especially with those pointy nails for fingers.
He just started throwing his hands around and made a masterpiece haha
for a second I thought he was going for a Bob Ross ASMR brush and talk feel.... even the friction of the brush rasping against the paper almost made me feel like I was watching a Bob Ross episode. Great art.
It’s interesting to see the different approaches & styles of each artist! Very cool!! 🙌💗🌿
I took notes, got half a page, so many gems here 💯
Absolutely love this.
The Scott Williams story is great - so true!! 😂
Creating vs editing... Absolute Genius thought!!!!
love his style of shadow
Love Brian! You should do Adam Hughes next!
I miss the blue and grey suit with yellow oval on Batman.
Brian Stelfreeze is a legend
great artist!
Not many artists draw batman with the clawed-hands look but I always thought it was cool. My only gripped is that Batman a little too thin for my taste other than that it looks great.
Talent
This artist is really good! I Love his job!
He is great!
He and Adam Hughes are the best artists in comics today
Opinions on david finch and todd mcfarlane? :))
@@StreamerGuy_ love em both!
@@Fisk4life yay :))))
Brian steez!!
Amazing
Does anybody knows what kind of ink Brian use to refills his pens? I believe he mentioned it in the video but I can´t undertand him.
holbein
Batman in his teenage years!
dope!
wtf, he's using one of those lead tip pencils where it has refills inside. Never seen an artist use one.
Jim Lee also uses mechanical pencils. I'm sure many others do as well.
Zhcomicart
Jim lee and zhcomic art use a different type of pencil called a lead holder
Totoro, Brian wasn't using a mechanical pencil here. He was using one of those novelty pencils with multiple pre-sharpened tips that you get at a Japanese store.
@@breadcurate62 please, ZH is not even close to their level yet. I have yet to see him draw a complete 6 pages of sequential art.
Nice
Looks like Saturday Morning Cartoons to me.
I respect Brian as one of my idols but to hear him talk about making a lot mistakes in the artwork and the fact anatomy is not important makes me raise an eyebrow a few times.
That ink brush is amazing... I'd probably break it
They're quite resilient actually, the tip is easy to fix too if the bristles spring out at all
Wasn't able to see it property
The dislikes are super trolls.
No way can he be an artist and getting paid for this !!! I can draw way better and no one will hire me😰
lol that was terrible.
