I can only agree with the military training making men out of boys. The discipline learnt is really beneficial. We had it in our country (South Africa) when I was younger but has since been discontinued when the new government came into power. I can definitely see the younger generation lacking the discipline we older folk learnt then. We also had two years of training. I enjoy these conversations and it vastly improves my Mandarin.
Actually pretty cool to hear that many Chinese seem to know about polar days, not just nights, at least they've been mentioned in a couple videos already. Like, everybody knows Finland as a cold and dark place, right, but nightless nights is are a pretty big part of the culture here. It's so cool if someone from China knows about them, at all!

isnt it easier for you to learn languages because finnish is genetically an asian language? I mean the finno urgic family is from East Asia probably with some sort of similar expression as mongolian or languages in siberia. For indo-european native speakers it's harder.
