Thanks for checking out this guide. Like you said it's a little older but it's still one of the best around.
Nearly everyone gets into Dreamcatcher because their music is insanely good but most of us end up staying around because the members are all so awesome. They are all hilarious, chaotic, talented, genuine and each member has their own color that sets them apart from each other.
Since you pointed out Red Sun, then you should go ahead and knock it out along with their newest special clip for Demian. Red Sun is a b-side on their first full album, Dystopia: The Tree of Language and Demian is a b-side from their most recent mini album, Apocalypse: From Us. Sua did the choreography for both of these songs.
As for recommendations, literally anything they do ranges from good to amazing. B-sides, covers, behind the scenes content, whatever it is, they do an amazing job, and the chaos has only gotten more extreme since this guide was made. After you get through the rest of the Title Tracks, I highly recommend doing albums reactions. They have great Intro's on each album and a few outro's and there are several b-sides that have special clips. Some albums have multiple per album.
I can definitely second these recommendations! I think that just listening to their albums is a great way to explore their music and not miss anything. Just fyi, there is a newer guide that I think has similar quality but hasn’t gotten much attention: An Extensive Guide to Dreamcatcher 2023 by Dreamer.
For Dreamcatcher at least I think they make a salary which is probably pretty good, the members have talked about how Gahyeon has a good amount because she saves and invests in stocks, while JiU (I might be wrong, I forget who exactly) spends a lot of hers pretty quick, and Handong sends a lot of it home. They just aren't as big as a lot of other groups and spend a lot on making MVs, songs, special clips, vlogs etc. So they aren't making as much as a lot of other celebrities/idols (especially for how much they put into it), the clip was also from a while ago, I imagine it's a pretty good amount especially at this point XD
Groups like BTS, Blackpink, Twice, and probably a lot of other other big groups are definitely rich, especially after re-signing (which tends to raise the percentage of profit you make back and gives more freedom. Dreamcatcher preemptively re-signed with their company before their 7th year anniversary so I imagine they're happy with what they're making and their contracts)
Also they have just bought Friendship rings for 2k dollars each ❤
I believe their situation was rather poor (no pun intended) up until Dystopia: Tree of Language, when they started breaking into mainstream. Nowadays they are doing much better. (FWIW, Gahyeon said somewhere recently that she stopped with the stocks because the market sucks now, IIRC)
I believe an artist also gets paid more when they have more credits to their name per song. Like they are credited as the vocals on the track, but if they also have a credit in the writing or composition of a song, they get paid for those as well.
I believe, don't quote me on that.

Funny tidbit, their CEO, had the redebut as Dreamcatcher not gone well, would open a cucumber farm for the girls. I think SuA or JiU mentioned it in a VLive.
Couple other fun facts:
-as of now, they have I believe 4 music show wins. Last I check, it was 4 (2 for Maison, 2 for Bon Voyage).
-Handong is in a friend group with TWICE's Tzuyu, (G)I-IDLE's Shuhua, and Kep1er's Xiaoting.
-Gahyeon was classmates with TWICE's Dahyun.
-With the Apocalypse trilogy, their writing and/or composing credits have increased as each member has a solo song in Apocalypse: Save Us (the album with MAISON as the title track). As well as additonal credits for the other two albums of the trilogy.

Check out the "This is" series by Insomnicsy! Nice way to learn more about the members. She's made a version for 2020, 2021 and 2022, and is currently uploading the 2023 series! She's about halfway done.
Reacting to all of them might be a bit much, even though they are short (about 7 minutes). But I feel like insomnias would want that tbh LOL😅
Maybe you could split it up by member. And do the 4 "This Is Jiu" reactions in one video, before moving onto the other members. I've seen people do that.
Just got this on my feed. Minx debuted with some HEAVY competition. Mamamoo, Red Velvet, Oh My Girl and Lovelyz in 2014. Twice and GFriend in 2015 among many others in both years.

they are the best, their vocals, dancing, music (best discography, literally no bad song from b-sides to fan songs), they are everything but tbe one thing that i most liked about them is their personalities, how they love InSomnias, and how they perform live is the best concert for whoever seened it (check their recent and current tour now), one thing that i have regreted is know them just when during the pandemic, i have listened and liked well known girl groups but one day they captured me when i heard deja vu, and from there they have become my happy pill, thanks for your love for the girls and more power to your channel🤘🤘

actually SAHARA also involving staffs but only a few, not many, just for switching the lamp for the effect and maybe just 3 make up artists, and those are on the same scene which appear once only, compared to BtW which involved more staffs with more than 1 segment

In general in the kpop industry idols normally don't get paid on debut. In big company's they might get some wage to secure the first pick in idols. It is a bit like a record label recruiting a bunch or random producers to see if any pops off. They are often on 3 year contracts for this. Once the 3 years contract expires if the group is succesfull they get resigned and negotiate the new wage. This negotiation sometimes results in members leaving but under good companies (some companies scam their idols) they should be getting paid well after that.
The clip on the video is older. Dreamcatcher has resigned the second time last year and is on pretty good contracts. Members have talked about first having to borrow money but now being able to send money home to their familly and are doing pretty well financially. Happyface seems to be a very good company to be in. They've had some issues in the past before dreamcatcher's time. It seems to be pretty good now: from the members getting redebuted to the freedom they have and the way the seem to be treated and their wage.

i think they are rich as in they can spend a good amount of money on some things. but not rich AF. This group is one of the best group and their company is to me one of the best. they are treated well, their CEO is their "dad". but we never know whats going on in their private time. but what we can see, they are happy.
their b-sides, I think you will love or like all their 76 songs. plus a few covers and OSTs. they don't just make covers, but they make it their own.

How much idols make varies from company to company. Some companies give a much smaller portion of the revenue to their artists while for others it’s more fair. And then there’s the trainee debt. I hear it’s not practiced by every company, but trainees often have to repay their company for the money invested into their training. Many idols don’t see a decent income until the debt is paid off. Also not all idols find success. The less popular groups often have to take on part time jobs to support themselves. Being an idol is a very unstable career, so most idols end up going into acting, starting brands/businesses, going indie, or producing/writing for other artists.
I remember seeing a clip of itzy working a part time job and being so confused. I thought it was for a new video or something but now I know why. Thank you
@@thesavguard3 AFAIK, The Big Four (JYP, HYBE, SM and YG) do not have a training debt system: their artists start earning money as soon as they debut. Itzy, being from JYP and having reasonably good sales numbers, are not poor by any metric, and they do not need to have a part time job. Maybe you are referring to a clip of Ryujin and Lia having been spotted as baristas a week or two ago? If so, this is almost certainly for a variety show, probably Workdol.
And even with the companies that do have the training debt system, unless the company sucks (and TBH, there are many that do), it is not an issue. In theory, a properly managed trainee should not need to spend their own money for any necessities, as they are fed, clothed, housed and taught by the company. (Obviously, you'd _want_ some pocket money, e.g. for snacks that the company doesn't allow you to eat anyway; so they would want some extra income, or get spending money from parents.)

All the money is paid to the company and is used to pay all the staff, plus overhead, and profit for the company. Whatever is left will be paid to the members according to their contract which is secret. The company provides them with free dorm, food, transportation, and a lot of clothing. The only money that is paid directly to the members is royalties for writing and composition credits on songs. This is where the real money is and why Siyeon and Dami especially are heavily into song writing. Up until just a few years ago they were still receiving money from their parents. Very few idols ever become 'rich' and usually what happens is the money comes with their second career, which comes after they age out of the Idol business. That is usually acting or hosting variety shows on TV and radio. The best vocalists go on to have solo careers and sing for KDrama soundtracks. Dancers are pretty much finished after age 30 because Kpop dancing is incredibly hard on the body and injuries are common. Dreamcatcher are lucky because they're never suffered any serious physical injuries or stress related emotional problems.
