Eren has to touch A TITAN with royal blood, not just any royal. He is concerned that the military would turn Historia into a dumb titan so Eren can use the founding titans power. Also, don't forget the paths. The eldians are a race of people literally made from the founding titan, as such they are all connected by the paths. These paths are how memories can move inbetween eldians, sometimes even through time, such as in the very first scene of Eren in S1 EP1 having a dream about the titans attacking before it even happened. Royals are linked much stronger to the paths, which is why if a royal inherits the founding titan, they are so strongly linked to the first kings memories that it affects their entire personality, and they are forced to uphold the first kings vow renouncing war. Which is why they dont stop Marleys titans from attacking the walls.

Grisha says that exact same line in season 1 when he turned Eren. Kruger says sometimes thoughts and ideas can transcend time.
He was probably already being tormented by Eren at this point. Eren gave him his memories back to begin with afterall.

Eren can only get access to founding titan's ability by getting in contact with a *titan* with royal blood...so historia has to be turned into a titan to access the ability with her...if they do turn her she would only be an abnormal titan.

This is the episode where we were supposed to see Ymir flashback. But they put it in season 2.
Now that was a bold move. When the Ymir flashback happened in season 2, the chapter talking about it just nearly came out. And if we take in consideration the time to animate an episode, we can see that Isayama spoiled the animators.

The 2 part season feel like seasons of their own. Aot isnt even 100 episodes but the weight of the show makes you feel like its been a long journey and youre finally seeing the end🤧

Eren's titan's name is Shingeki No Kyojin, that could be translated as "The Attack Titan" or "The Advance Titan"! Both relate to it's powers and traits
Whenever I feel like I I’m getting a handle of the plot, the show hits me over the head with an baseball batt. But it’s not frustrating because I know that there are answers. The writers aren’t just pulling stuff out of their ass to be subversive, there’s a deliberate story being told. I love that.
Just want to let you guys know a cool fact : 9 and 13 are actually significant numbers in this series, first of all, we know there's 9 titans with 13 years to live. On page 9 of the manga, there is a 13 written on the bottom corner. The very last chapter of the manga is 139. And the coolest part of all, the manga was published in 2009, while the anime was aired in 2013. I just thought it was really cool how Isayama (author) managed to incorporate these two numbers in so many things outside of the main story! Especially in the release dates of the manga and anime.
Eren specifically thought that it has to be a *Titan* of Royal Blood in order for him to use the Founding. Using Historia is as good as killing her by making her a Titan.

If you re-watch very First episode of the show, you can see that Eren "Dreamed" his mom's death. So yes, it did happen before, but it's so hard to notice while watching for the first time
I think they also hinted at seeing the future with Uri during Kenny's backstory. Somehow Uri knew that this world would soon fall despite knowing he would die before it would even happen

The eldian king fled from the contitent to an island because he was tired of al the fighting hoping to make paradise. The reason the island was named paradis. The king chose not to fight and it passes down with the founding to every descendant of the king.

Around 100 years ago (specifically, 107 years from chapter 2 of the manga), the first ruler of the Walls, King Fritz the 145th created the walls to protect humanity.
When a someone gains a titan power, their remaining lifespan is set to 13 years due to "Ymir's Curse". Same number of years between the royal family's succesion ritual.
"145th king" means there have been 145 weilders of the Founding Titan at that time. 145 x 13 = 1885. So 107 years ago, it has been 1885 years from Ymir Fritz.
At present time (1885 + 107) it would be 1992 years since Ymir Fritz.
Eren got his titan power at age 10, he's supposed to die when he's 23. Currently, Eren is 15 and has around 8 years left to live.

One of the biggest themes in AOT is fate/destiny. I think that the implication of The Owl having Eren's memories is that this is the path that they were all destined to travel down.

The first king made a VOW renouncing war with the Founding Titan. So he's descendants are bound to that same VOW.
As you said, none of this "should have happened". A non-royal having the Founding. Eren activating the Coordinate. All of this is an one in a million thing that happened just right.
While everything you guys are deducing is really good and more than we can ask for there is one thing that people generally miss the first time around, you included. Eren specifically said that, in order to use the founders ability, he would have to touch not only a member of the royal family but a TITAN who is a member of the royals. So in order to use the full power Historia would have to be turned into a Titan, which is the real problem at hand.

Also I think you misunderstood touching the royal blood thing. Eren cannot use scream by only touching Historia or any royal blood. Historia need to be made into a titan beforehand. Eren was worried because If the military police knew that Will they try to turn Historia into a titan.
Are you sure about that? Historia clearly has royal blood powers without being a titan, and Eren has already gotten memory flashes from her. They just haven't really explored it.

In the manga mikasa was giving Eren her food that’s why he asked if she had been eating
Ive seen some people saying this in comments but where exactly is it in the manga? I did not see this anywhere. I thought it was pretty clear that the reason she wasn't eating was because she is depressed that her two closest friends only have a few years left. Eren asking was probably because they were in different cells so he couldn't see if she was eating or not.

“You’ll never really know who’s right.” I felt that about the history that was told by both the Marleyan and the Eldian’s restoration rebels? (If i rmb it correctly?) the Marleyan’s believe that Ymir and her ppl raze humanity to the ground and the Eldian’s rebel believe that Ymir and her ppl taught the humans many things and brought prosperity to the land. Who know what’s the true side of history… only the victors get to decide which history gets to be written down and interpreted in their own ways
I love this “title drop” episode. Now it is more clear to me that this is a story of Eren.
Although I believe AoT is a great title, a great translation for SnK, if translators knew this “title drop” line was coming, they would have named it “Attack Titan” instead of AoT.

Everything is connected in a multi-directional way, including the memories. Eren Kruger has some memories of Eren Jaeger from the future, because the memories do not only flow forward but also backwards. We can see that in S1E1 where Eren dreams of the attack before it even happened and before he even got the power.

Great episode all around👍🏾. This episode and the last are my favourite expository episodes.
On the subject of memories, was rewatching Season 2 and it appears the intelligent titans do not remember much of what happens around the time of their transformations and eating their predecessors. Ymir claims to not remember who she ate, and Bertholdt affirms that he doesn't remember either. Grisha says something similar in this episode as well, so I doubt he has any memories of Kruger's words. At the very least, if he remembers after eating the founding titan, it wouldn't influence his actions concerning Mikasa and Armin, seeing as he dies on the same day he ate her.
This episode was actually not the first time we were teased about the possibility of seeing future memories somehow. Check S1 episode 1 again.
You can literally see in Erens face how depressed he is about everything... for years he thought that if they manage to kill all the titans they will have peace but now his whole dream got shattered into thousand of pieces. Now he knows that outside the wall there are still people alive living life but everyone of them wants to kill them.... Thats so sad if you think about it, literally the whole world is against them and Eren somehow has to fight against everyone of them to free his people. I feel really sad for him...

The founding titan can be used if Eren touches A TITAN with royal blood. Not just anyone with royal blood. That's what Eren said. He was afraid that the military would titanize Historia if they knew. Also Eren has less than 8 years left to live not 9.

He suspects he needs to touch a pure titan with royal blood but in theory a smart titan (one of the 9) would also work.
I think they already said that even memories can travel through the coordinate to the past or the future. Its like a meta dimension where the coordinate rests. And time is not experienced the way we experience it in our three dimensions.
