- A Mum by the name of Trish was recently asked to leave Arj Barker's comedy show by the comedian himself after her baby was crying during his act. When Hughesy, Ed and Erin brought the pair together to discuss it, things got a little... heated.
Hear Hughesy, Ed and Erin discuss the story more in their podcast here: tr.ee/puska0hkUI

As a mother, a single mother myself, I didn't even go out at night for the first five years of my daughter's life! Why did this woman think it was okay to bring a baby to an adult only comedian's show? I just find it inappropriate. Now, because of her selfish stupidity, this comedian is being unfairly criticised.
wow she used the gender card... i don't think real victims of domestic violence would agree with her.. she came to a comedy and apparently cant tell when he is joking.. she is lucky to share air time with him... she is such a karen..
Exactly
Of course, but that’s the world we live in these days. People think it’s normal to do idiotic things
I don’t think the baby is going to understand anything or repeat what’s been said 😂😂😂😂😂
If the audience is quiet at a comedy show then the comedian isn’t funny , he must be reading off a card or something because said this word for word in other interview
I don't know who Erin is, but somehow she had to make herself the most important person in the conversation.
So true hahahaha. Tryna be a middle man, then at the end thinking she’s a victim of Arj’s “rudeness”. Irritates me so much 😂
@@Y3s888 with no context as to what happened.
That’s Erin. You’ve nailed it.
Yeah he apologises to her she says all good but not meaning it at all and then ends the interview angrily!
Luckily Barker is an Anglo-Saxon name so she could pronounce it correctly 😅😅😅
So this woman has gone on two television shows and a radio show with kids making noise in the background, proving exactly why she got booted from Arj Barker's show.
She has been on every channel & all these TV shows having a whinge
And was on the today show this morning instead of taking her kids to school
@@ttvcheesecakebtw1233 looks like being on TV is more important
Yeah and why is she breast feeding the kid on every show!?
Where is the father? Oh, he is gone because she is crazy? I would not be suprised. She cant even get a babysitter
I have no sympathy for the mum that got booted from the show. The venue should not have allowed the baby in there. If she wanted to see the show ORGANIZE A BABY SITTER, it’s not that hard. My sympathies go to the other people who paid to see the show not hear some baby noises disrupting the show and i sympathize with the performer who has to deal with that unwelcome disruption. If he was a bit harsh towards her then that’s unfortunate but she could have avoided all of that unpleasantness by not bringing her baby to that show. It’s not a daycare, end of story.
The baby couldn't shut up for the interviews to the point that Sarrah Harris asked the mum to pass the baby to the dad so she wasn't distracted. The fact anyone supports the selfish woman is insane
That radio host was so insufferable. Sounded like she was about to make an HR complaint over her hurt feelings
This is a women who pronounces Polynesian names as "hooka looka mooka" ...I'm not even joking, wish I was.
Selfish, selfish mother, only thinking about herself and not the rest of the audience , any noise is bad when you are trying to listen to a comedy show !!!!...Get a babysitter, then Arj would not be going through all this crap...
agreed...
Trish don't bring baby to adult shows & stop your lies about Arj, you are just making yourself look more selfish. I back Arj 100%.
You don’t have the right to go to a comedy show, period. Especially if you’re going to disrupt the show for everyone, people who have paid money. It’s honestly the most disrespectful to other mothers who have gotten babysitters and done what they’re SUPPOSED TO DO to be a functioning member of society. Her entitlement is absolutely through the roof, and she should be banned from going to comedy shows because clearly she doesn’t care about being a disruption.
Erin....the second entitled karen Arj has had to deal with this week. Pull your head in.
❤
Well said mate
At least she is away from the footy.
Wow. Erin’s reaction to a mildly sarcastic comment was over the top.
Erin making it all about her ?? That'll be a first 😅😅
How about a FKN Babysitter!

Arj simply did what all the other audience members quietly hoped for. I feel sorry for him having to apologize publicly. Reminds me to book tickets and see his show :) Thanks Veranda
That's the problem too many people are quiet to ask people who have no shame, or tell management about the issue.
Sorry, something tells me that that mum would take her crying baby to the cinema and then cry sexism when the ushers asked her to leave.
The show clearly said over 15. The mother doesn't have a leg to stand on or a working brain cell........
I am hoping the baby's father is more intelligent.
@@velvetfaerieThere won't be one in the picture.
No... but genetics are genetics and she didn't procreate with herself.
Cry more, Arj is the man and did everything perfectly
He was way to nice . Fkn pu#sy arj
Mum and baby go on the news. News casters back the mother and ask the crying baby to be given to the father.
You couldn't script something so funny
There are plenty of outings you can take a baby to, but not in a live audience. It’s not fair to expect those around you to just be polite for your sake. If it was disruptive to him on stage imagine the people in front or behind, they probably left their children at home for a night out. If it was child friendly it would not have clearly stated the minimum age.
Common sense it seriously dying. It's pretty bloody simple really. Don't take anyone or anything into a show that is going to be a distraction to performers or to others in the audience. This goes for comedy shows, the movies, theatre, basically anything where a group of people have paid good money to enjoy the experience that is being offered on stage. If your baby is crying, or you want to heckle, or cause some other distraction. Get up and leave the show. Simple. Have some courtesy for others.
People have no shame hence why rules and enforcement are needed. Apparently this place had rules but no enforcement hence why the captain had to eventually kick the passenger out who should have been stopped at check-in.
Hughes stick up for a fellow comedian.. what was that female host on about, so entitled. Arj you don't need to go on an apology tour.
Aussies are true blue mate and we get what really happened, we can recognize a Karen when we see one, the Australia i know will still love you Arj 👍
Not only does her baby talk too much, but she also seems to. Just talks straight over everyone.
What a pathetic exchange! Woman in yellow is so rude! Woman on the phone is pathetic and I’m sorry, using the women’s card is absolutely devaluing what women have worked for and are working for to be treated fairly! You took your kid to his place of work, while he is trying to work! Why TF do people think they can bring their kids where ever they want, it is not your right, it is damn well selfishness on your part! Then sook about it like it’s a women’s right issue, no petal, it ain’t! I am a mother and I am ashamed of these two women! Beyond narcissistic and entitled, the both of them. This behaviour absolutely holds women back!
Hearing this women on Today show play the “treatment of women” card needs to be addressed was wild. A) it’s a comedy show and no one escapes if you get called out.
B) if that was a man, I guarantee he would have been ripped 20x by the audience and possibly Arj.
I bet she in the next breath she’s on feminist sites preaching equality.
News flash: it’s an adult only show - period. Don’t be claiming Mum/women power FFS.
Trish is oblivious to the fact that she is wrong !! Who takes babies to shows ? It’s all about Trish . She doesn’t care if she disturbs other guests . No mention of that by her . She is oblivious and lacks empathy .. me me me !! Selfish and self centred . And Erin … wow she needs to calm down . I can’t see how Arj was rude to her . My suggestion is get off the air if you have such thin skin . !
It's a adult only show , get a babysitter
Arj-you did the right thing
Lady with baby-dont take babys to theatre shows unless its for the kids-700 paying guests have more rights than your noisy kids
Lady with baby-Hire a babysitter
Erin-yellow jersey lady-Grow up FFS, this interview isnt about you. Arj was starting to reply and you asked him exactly what he was trying to do, so good on him for telling you he knows how a conversation works-he apologised and yet you had steam coming out of your ears and end Interview-total amateur you are.
Arj-You did the right thing.
Blimey! I'm all in favour of mums breastfeeding kids in public. HOWEVER... It is not appropriate to bring a baby to a comedy or any theatrical performance. I feel you either get a babysitter or stay home. Sorry parents, you've made a choice to breed & there are things you'll need to sacrifice FUN! A LIE IN!
A SOCIAL LIFE! 😂
This woman has so much pride and is trying to play the victim. Unbelievable! And what is with the radio host cracking it…She cut Arj off to speak over him when he was trying to answer. I think both these women should stopping taking everything personally.
Now I’ve seen the whole thing Trish really doesn’t think she’s wrong does she lol😂
People paid to watch and enjoy the show, not to hear babies crying. I also don't know why parents bring their babies in such events. Oth, Arj shoule have just asked someone from his team or staff to approach the lady and not embarrass her like that.
I listened to her interview 😂
"Shes only breastfed so she has to be with me at all times"
Lady, thats a you problem, not an us problem.... Welcome to self sacrifice, you have a small child you need to prioritise and attending a comedy show just isnt on the agenda for you right now darl.
Blimey! Don't mums pump breast milk & leave that with the baby? If she had to visit a hospital or work etc, she'd have to leave a supply for a babsitter to use? Parents here brought a baby to a rave & got mad about crowds bumping into their kid. It's ignorant /selfish to think your life won't change once a parent.
Trish is an entitled idiot. The baby doesn't have to be with her at all times to breastfeed. Give her a good feed prior to the show, hand her over to a baby sitter and go. Babies can go more than a couple of hours between feeds and only fuss when they're laying on mum and can smell milk. Why should everyone else in the audience who have paid to see a show, have it ruined by a chattering baby. As for the juvenile behaviour of Erin, supposedly a "professional" the petulant, pouting attitude and snarky whinge about being "shut down" would say otherwise. Grow up!
Look, a baby has no business being in a comedy show. This whole thing is ridiculous. There is no way that Arj could have seen her breastfeeding. It was the distraction that was very rude. I'm a comedy writer and believe me timing is everything and when you're being interrupted by a crying baby it doesn't help. Obviously, her kids are loud because you could hear them the whole time that she was talking to anybody about this. She does not have to drag her baby anywhere because she is breastfeeding and he needs her. That is ridiculous. Have you ever heard of a breast pump? Hello. I'm on the side of Arj. Furthermore, the radio host or whatever she is needs to get over herself. She was the one who was rude. Unbelievable.
This is down to a self centred mother who was an idiot for taking a baby to an adult show. The artist was not to blame.
There are a lot of public venues that you simply should NOT take a baby, and a comedy show is one of them. A movie theater is another.
Gee erin just had to bottle that up and make it about her didnt she
Erin's go to is self victimhood. Get over yourself. 🤦♂️🤯🤡
He was a rude arrogant prick. He’s shut her down twice in front of people. Not professional at all.

Ha she deserved worse, she got off lightly . She’s need to get out of media , no one like her anymore cause she’s clueless .
Who is this KAREN (host) in the yellow / green top ?? I am trying to facilitate an awkward conversation between two people on a very hot topic. You did absolutely nothing of the sort lady, and the conversation between Arj and the Mum was very civilised. I understood both Arj and the Mum's points and I believe all was going well until KAREN opened her big mouth - put a sock in it Host and go have a hissy fit somewhere else as it appears it was YOU who doesn't know how to talk to other people.
Why did Erin think she could just terminate the segment? Pretty sure its Hughey's show. I've never heard of her!
she is the worrrst!
HEY ERIN. What would your reaction be if someone knocked on the door loudly to your studio whilst you were doing your show?
And what if it was Joey knocking?
How important is Erin? Apparently she’s a radio host. Get over yourself.
Erin so obviously had it in for Arj right from the start and she clearly has no sense of humour. As for the woman, it is obvious she has an agenda and was using the experience (including the various new interviews) to further it
Erin learn to take a mild joke how pathetic
For me, the mom chose to have her kids, she chose all the sacrifices that come with it. You dont bring your kid to a comedy show for adults. Find anyone to babysit your kids for a night out, a comedy show is not a place for them if you cant manage to find one. If your babysitter cancels last minute, you dont take your kid with you instead, you man/woman up and stay home with your kid
Why are so many people so eager to be victims these days. 1) You don’t take a baby to a live show. That’s a no brainer. You think ahead and consider ‘others’ (remember that word) including the person on stage. Also, being a woman doesn’t give you permission to do whatever you want whenever you want. That includes complaining about the consequences when you get called out for making bad decisions. What happened to her has nothing to do with being a woman, it had everything to do with her being disruptive. If a man had been there with a baby that was being disruptive, it would have been the same result. Full stop. This whole thing was avoidable 2) What ever happened to professionalism. I don’t know Erin, but her need to get that last word in came across as immature and unprofessional. Just made the whole environment awkward and took away from the supposed purpose of the interview.
Feel like the mother spoke okay here and accepted what Arj had to say they both came out seemingly satisfied and understanding
But Erin soured the whole thing with her comments at the end
The mum is a fool and Erin is worse.
Erin, u asked the both Arj and Trish to talk it out, then you jump in and ask Arj how he feels about the current situation after Trish had her say. Like c’mon, let the people talk and dont be the middle person. Toughen up, and not everything is about you. You’ve just created more tension with a guy who has been experiencing a lot, and you make yourself the centre of attention. “He’s shut me down twice”. Why don’t you shut yourself up and let people have a proper conversation. Smh Erin, u professional as a radio host 😪
Erins, daughter throws massive meltdowns at local restaurants, and all is well.. Tone deaf parenting!
Erin really? Grow up. And Trish you don’t bring a baby to a theatre show. Would you have taken him to Shakespeare, Chekhov, Mozart? The world doensnt revolve around you and your baby.
Arj is amazing! Seriously why would you bring a baby to a comedy show? Thats disrespectful
Erin is such a disgrace lol
Go away Erin please just go away
Trush said herself when she got to the venue she looked around thinking security might pull her up on it. She knew there was a high possibility her baby would cause distraction and continued to go to the show. She was selfish and copped it from other paying patrons now her pride is hurt because of a dumb decision on her part and she wants an apology, how about she apologise to everyone for being selfish and causing a disturbance. On every interview shes had her kids have been with her being noisey so it was bound to happen at some stage of the show. And im so glad i dont have to see Erin in involved in footy anymore she was annoying and looks like she still is .
"You shouldn't have brought the baby to the show. Period dot end of story. It's not about you breastfeeding, it's about you bringing a baby there."
Wtf would you take a baby to any show is beyond me.
Can I ask a tough question: are these women hating on Arj including Erin have genuine issues with men generally? It’s really hard not see genuine trauma against the masculine and therefore points to prove.
10:57 womp womp Erin
Inserted in to a story where you’re not the main character.
'I know how a conversation works" lol that's the best 😂
So she rolls the dice on her child making noise in an unsuitable venue, and when it does she's upset that the rebuke didn't happened in a perfectly-choreographed way to spare her precious feelings.
What was that mother thinking? Why would you bring a baby to an event like that at all? But this is on the venue. Why was she even allowed to enter with a baby in the first place? The ushers are there to prevent this sort of thing, are they not? Arj should not have had to deal with this at all, let alone apologise to this inconsiderate woman.
IM ERIN IT'S ALL ABOUT ME
Jailtime.for the mother and the child. Jailed for life ❤
People don't love your kids, like you do. It's no place for a baby.
I wish we had intelligent people in the media.
Trish is terribly annoying.
Erin is such a nobody. Compared to either Arj or Hughesy. She should stop embarrassing herself but probably wants to bring more attention to herself and this is the only way she can do it. Pick a fight for no reason. How very primary school.
Man, I've had a couple of occasions where I've been kicked out of a venue for, would you believe, having a good time, but you don't hear me complaining
You rock Arj! Keep up the great work mate..
Was it the actual way he requested her to leave that was the issue? The Mum said that she would have been fine if she was asked discreetly, but it was the humiliation from Arj Barker asking the audience to ask her to leave too?
KErin🥴
Bro made it worse😂 Just call them crazy women and end it already
4 row and a discounted Tix WOW, baby a bad idea.... Just saying.
I don't know if bringing a baby to a comedy show in a theatre is the best idea. But she was in row 4, he could've gone off mic and told her kindly to take the baby outside. Instead he made jokes on mic that weren't jokes, but him telling her to leave, which is confusing and rude. I don't know why he won't apologise for that.
Arj is comedic royalty in this country. Where are your balls Hughesy ?? You should have asked Karen to Google: babysitter
At the end of the day, if you’re going to a live comedy show, and bring in a phone (maybe your expecting an important call or a doctor on call) or a baby, and it goes off more than once, expect to be roasted by the comedian. If I was sitting in the back and someone asked me if I wanted to switch seats and sit in the 4th row I’d take it. Not sure why this lady expects Arj to step off the stage and whisper in her ear if it’s okay if she left. Whether it was a father or mother same expectations, I feel she knows she should take responsibility but unable to leave tail between the legs because she needs vindication for this media circus in form of an apology.
Nothing to apologise for. It’s just another matter of a selfish, inconsiderate individual who places herself over the majority of the other paying audience. To remove the disruption from a performance is just common courtesy. I’m a father of five and would never have stayed in a room where a performance or presentation was being disrupted by my crying child. It’s quite a simple fix by anyone with common sense really.
selfish host and self mum
Arj is apologising for something that is not his fault. Dont take underage kids to shows if you cant control them. If someone had have been drunk and loud, they would have been kicked out as well. Abismal interviewing skills by the radio hosts. Clearly Erin needs attention.
Where is the father? Single mom? I wounder why, she is psycho

Both Arj and the woman are bloody annoying. one complains too much and the other sounds arroogant.
I was totally on Arj’s side at first and still am in theory, because bringing your baby to an adult comedy show in the first place is a bit inconsiderate. But after watching this segment he definitely comes across as arrogant and dismissive of women, which is disappointing. He was quite condescending toward Erin and I believe that he probably could have handled it more delicately for the mum to save her public embarrassment.
Thanks Erin.

lmao the mum brought this on herself. Imagine having to defend yourself in this situation, such a waste of everyones time because of some entitled mum and an insufferable-nobody radio host.
@@Legalpigeon I never defended the mum taking her baby to the comedy show. I think everyone can agree that it's pretty irresponsible and inappropriate. But I can hold that opinion and not feel compelled to fangirl over Arj Barker when frankly I don't care for his attitude either. Hughesy is the unsung hero in all this. Managed to handle the disruption assertively and chuck some humour in there too.
this is the one correct take in this thread
Erin was spot on. He was rude to her being the host. ❤
Honestly as a Breastfeeding Mum, I feel so sorry for Thrish. We go through so much and we can not take a break form a BF baby, no one can baby sit as they might not take a bottle.
@karcaz3409 You need to grow up too. Stop whining about being a breastfeeding mum. Babies who are successfully breastfed don't feed 24/7 they can go at least a couple of hours between feeds ( unless they're prem or sick). I'm a mum who breastfed and also a midwife of 30years experience. We do sacrifice a bit of our personal freedom when we choose to breastfeed, but it is what it is, learn to work around it. Motherhood is all about sacrifice and compromise ever after. Most of us are willing to accept that.
@janiceal-najjar5093 I respectfully disagree. There's no need to be rude, Janice. All women are different, I wasn't whining, I was empathic to the lady. You should be better as a midwife. No wonder why so many women complain about being traumatised during labour due to horrible midwives. With 30 years of experience and don't realise that not all women have support or the same experience as Mums.
Selfish selfish PEOPLE who is WILLING TO DISTURB A WHOLE HALL who also paid MONEY to have an enjoyable show.
Same case of SELFISH parents who let kids make noise in a movie hall for the WHOLE 2 hour movie!!!
