    I love their body language, how you can just tell when they no longer consider you a threat and will just chill in your company, if you're lucky they might even take the chance to preen themselves

    Mantids are my favorite insects for sure. They seem quite intelligent.

    "small orange wings" cool threat display, captured really well thank you. Those 3 mantis letting each go on their own bush was so satisfying thanks again.

    DUDE WTF I NEVER FOUND A Empusa pennata IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!! I always see their oothecas but neer see the mantis, I now consider you "The Bug Master" or something like that (:

    This vid reminded me of a mantis that lived in my house for a while. It would sit on the vent in the kitchen. The best part is when we had the ac on, it would sway side to side

      Fer sure. The only thing that would be holding me back would be that I'm not sure how well they do in airplanes. Don't want to end up with an exploded mantis

    I know this is ancient but that grasshopper is a quite common (suthern europe) anacridium aegyptium! A solitary """locust""" and my favourite insect 😀

    I'm guessing some form of albinism caused both the pink and brown coneheads, rare but awesome finds
