      I'll give it a try! I've never used it. Will I find it at a hardware store or do I order it? And what exactly is it called if I were to search it on the internet?

    How come you use the small tool at 2:59?

    • @windowninja1629
      @windowninja1629  Před 5 lety +1

      It is a scraper (razor blade with a handle) used for removing debris that will not come off with regular scrubbing or 0000 steel wool. It's good for removing stickers, tape, paint, silicone and other construction debris. The scraper I'm using is a 6" triumph mk3, a really great one is the ergotech NINJA 6" scraper. If you are unfamiliar with using one I would definitely check out some construction clean videos on Luke the Window cleaner's page. They are clear about the do's and don'ts of a scraper. You just don't want to scratch glass and catch a lawsuit or angry customer.

    What's the Sqft on the house?

    • @windowninja1629
      @windowninja1629  Před 5 lety +1

      I could tell you, I'm not sure. I could guess maybe around 3000-4000 sq feet

      @@windowninja1629 When a customer calls, I always ask what's the Sqft of the house. Over time you will help you get an idea of what's to come.

      That's $65 per hour. That's not too bad.... 💥
      Now For (CCU) it's not great...
      You want to be between $75 to $100. The reason why is if you had an assistant you could of done the job in four hours and made almost the same....I pay my help $20 per hour and make no less then $70....
      I think in Colorado this is possible.
      Anyhow you are doing great!
      Keep coming with the awesome videos!💦

      I dont calculate sq footage into my quotes. I base the price off of size, height and filth of every individual window. I've done small houses with many windows and big houses with few. In my area there are a lot of unique buildings so I don't find square footage would be useful to me.

      @@windowninja1629 Understood!
      I don't either, but if you are in the same neighborhood or same cookie cutter style house it helps to get an idea.....Example in my area a 2,200 sqft home are going to have between 24 and 35 windows.
      If, I get a call for a 4,000 sqft home, I know it going to have 50 plus windows....Some neighborhoods or H.O.A s the houses are all similar in design.
      So you might end up back in the same area and that will help you price it better.......In my area sqft dictates what clients I'm going to have and what they can pay...
      A 2000 sqft home and a 4000 sqfg home is a big difference in income..
      Take it with a grain of salt.
