- Our application for a new rental apartment was just accepted, but as we quickly move towards our moving date, problems compound that threaten to put our whole move in jeopardy. But as things keep falling into place, the kids are finally able to see their new home for the first time.

この一家の凄さ。郷に入れば郷に従え の格言にある通り。日本の文化に触れているけれど染まらない。それが尊敬に値する。それに、ご夫妻の愛情を受けた子どもたちの明るい表情。こんな外国人がもっと増えたらいいな。新入居、おめでとうございます🎊

6:02～ 引っ越しって家が変わるだけでなく風景も変わるんだなっていうのが今回よく分かりました…(当たり前のことですけど)。川沿いでいい思い出が沢山あったと思いますが、やはりいいロケーションから離れるのはちょっと残念ですね。ただ新居はフロアが上のようなので、前居とは違った思い出もできるといいですね！

引越しに転校。。一軒家と集合住宅でもまた違うからそれもまた大変だし目が回るなー！何事もなく無事落ち着くといいですね。
台風シーズンで大変でしたが、新居が見つかり良かったですね。
学校まで徒歩10分というのはいいですね、パパチャリは前後にカゴがあって買い物の時便利そうです。引っ越しは大変だったと思いますが次回の動画も楽しみにしています。

We can't wait to use the balcony. It's really big, but since there is construction happening, we won't be able to use them for another 3 months or so.

Moving IS a challenge! We were in Scotland for 6-1/2 years (moved twice while there!) and in June we moved back to California in San Bernardino County, then two months later moved 100 miles south, to Carlsbad. We have been here in this house for 5 months and there is still lots to do. Two of us aged 70-71, so we are not as fast as you😊. God bless your new home and the kids in their new schools! How nice that mom can be near her sister!

@@LIJ correction I said 5 months- we have been here only 5 WEEKS!!! lol God has been so good to us, and I am sure your family has God’s arms wrapped around you too, and that is part of what makes all things possible.
I'm SO happy for you all having more space! The 2 older girls not having to go so far to school is a very good thing too! Very nice, new home!

Love the tatami mat room, we have one too and that’s where we’re sleeping. We’re praying for you and just remember God provides!!!

8年間住み慣れた家から引っ越すって色々な事情もあい重なりうれしくもあり悲しくも（子供たちが友との別れが）ありですよね。母は妹さんが近くに住んでて超がつくくらい嬉しいのでしょうね。新居に越す事はよくよく考えれば夢がありますね。各人の部屋の割りあて家具はここに、冷蔵庫は？TV,洗濯機、等々考えたらキリがないくらい。友との別れもつらいが、ワクワク感の方が勝ってる家族全員の笑顔を見て安心致しました。越した後の動画楽しみにしています。障子がありましたね。幼い頃人差し指をなめ障子紙に押し当てて＜穴＞を開け親にゲンコツをくらいましたが、この遊び子供達に絶対に教えないで下さいね。
大きな調整で、時には圧倒されることもあります。 しかし、私たちは将来について非常に期待しています。
子供達がかわいいお母さまは子育てと引っ越しでお忙しいと思います。お体を大切に！

以前の多摩川が見えるおうちものどかで良かったですが、電車と学校が目の前の新居も刺激的で生活が楽しみですね。
仕方がない事とはいえお子様達の転校は少し寂しいですね。
別れも新たな出会いもどちらも大きな試練です。
家族や親戚以外の同年代の友人の存在は、大人になっても得難い人生の財産だと思います。

Your previous home with a view of the Tama River was nice and peaceful, but your new home in front of the train and school is also exciting and you are looking forward to living there.
Although it is inevitable, it is a little sad to see your children move to a new school.
Both goodbyes and new encounters are big ordeals.
I think that having friends of the same age outside of family and relatives is a life asset that is hard to obtain even as an adult.
I hope your child will make many friends at the new school.

By the way, In Japan, a 'typhoon passing' refers to the period when a typhoon passes and it gets sunny again. It is called 「台風一過」in Japanese and usually brings a glorious day, washing off everything in the air. It's so suitable for your new chapter of life.

Moving is such a pain! I hope we are in our forever house....after moving 10+ times in 14 years, I'm ready to be settled. When we bought our first house in Washington, we got to live there for 6 months before my husband got a job offer in his software development field at Fort Knox, KY, so we put the house up for rent and moved to Kentucky...except that he went first, and I was left to pack up our house, put only what I could fit in our SUV and the cats, and put everything else into storage for a year. Not. Fun. That was probably the absolute worst move ever. Then of course moving back after a year and having to unpack everything again and do repairs from the renters (never again) only to decide by November that same year that we were tired of the high cost of living and rising taxes and decided to sell and move east again to Indiana. ugh. Packing up everything again was tiring, but if we had stayed, we would not have been able to afford the cost of living and likely would have ended up homeless. Moving to Indiana has been a huge blessing in disguise. Your new place looks great. I'm sure once everyone is settled in, it will feel like home.
I grew up in semi-rural Illinois and just loved it. I hope you can settle in as well!
