- 20.01.2020 - भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच हमेशा से रिश्ते तल्ख रहे हैं, लेकिन कम-से-कम एक जगह है जहां कुछ उम्मीद दिख रही है. हिंदुस्तानी सिख अपने सबसे पवित्र स्थानों में से एक की तीर्थयात्रा कर सकें, इस मकसद से दोनों देशों के बीच एक “शांति गलियारा” शुरू हुआ है.
सिख भारत में चौथे सबसे बड़े धार्मिक समुदाय हैं, लेकिन वे खुद को भारत-पाकिस्तान और हिंदू-मुसलमान की पाटों के बीच फंसा हुआ पाते हैं. दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा सिख भारत में रहते हैं. 1947 में हुए बंटवारे के बाद से भारत-पाकिस्तान के बीच जिस तरह का कड़वापन रहा, उसके चलते दशकों तक सिख अपने सबसे पवित्र तीर्थस्थानों में नहीं जा पाए. दोनों देशों के बीच कायम मौजूदा राजनैतिक तनाव, खासतौर पर कश्मीर को लेकर बनी कड़वाहट के बावजूद बंटवारे के 74 साल बाद, भारत और पाकिस्तान ने 2 दशक पहलेकिया एक वादा पूरा किया. सिख धर्म के संस्थापक गुरु नानक की 550वीं सालगिरह के मौके पर हिंदुस्तानी सिख सीमा पर बने एक नए रास्ते द्वारा पाकिस्तान के करतारपुर स्थित गुरु नानक के समाधि स्थल तक जा सकेंगे, जो सीमा से चार किलोमीटर दूर है.
दोनों देशों के प्रधानमंत्रियों ने कार्यक्रम के मुताबिक करतारपुर गलियारे का उद्घाटन तो किया, मगर साझा समारोह में नहीं. दोनों ने ही एक नए ‘शांति गलियारे’ की बात कही. 9 नवंबर, 2019 को इस गलियारे की शुरुआत हुई. यह संयोग नहीं था कि इसी तारीख को बर्लिन दीवार गिरने की भी वर्षगांठ होती है. भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने दोनों ऐतिहासिक मौकों की तुलना भी की.
यह डॉक्यूमेंट्री एक बेहद खास तीर्थयात्रा पर पहली बार पाकिस्तान जा रहे एक भारतीय सिख की कहानी कहती है.

@@musharrafsulemani We thought that we are living in a democracy and fought for more federal rights for states in 1982. But clever majoritarian turned this agitation into law and order issue. PM of India signed an accord with Punjab leaders and agreed to some demands but vested political interests forced him to backtrack on all agreed demands. We lost political fight but we have no grudges for common men of any religion. It is political leaders of majoritarian side who don't want to see a minority taking stand for their rights.

What the hell. You might not know but Hindus used to live in the region as far away as Dera Gazi Khan in Pakistan now and those Hindus suffered so much because there was no railways station in that zone (it is a small town in south west boundry of Punjab and Sindh region) those people suffered a lot just to grab a train so that they can safely reach to this part of India. Sikhs and Muslims were fighting with swords and Muslims burned a whole train, that was the atrocity. People who used to live in Lahore (who deliberately waiting everything would be normal) were the ones who harmed their ownself, nobody forced them to stay till the situation get worse. My maternal grandfather belong to uber rich family that is why they had one home in Lahore also and even before partition ( like in January) he came along with his mother to Delhi with his brother in law (who used to work in Radio station as a news broadcaster and knew what's going to happen) so he was safe but his father who refuse to leave his business empire in Karachi couldn't reach till partition but anyway came back in 1950 (he was rich, like TATA kind of rich. So he survived just by giving money to save his life. But he also had to abandoned every single thing at last.) Many Sindhi's were in same situation as Punjabi's.
The thing is only sikhs (not all only Jats) still cry over it. Nobody in my family ever wanted to go back, no matter how much struggle they did here. We (as in my gen) not seen such sufferings but I know that my parents struggled a lot during their childhood days but they worked hard and got secure jobs and we might not ever be as rich as my ancestors ever again (or we can no one can tell future) but we are living safe life that matters the most. Look what is Happening in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Anyway my parents were born here I born here we are as Indians as anyone (as their was no boundary to India before partition. Believe it or not our leaders were fool in the past to give away such precious land and agreed to partition.)
Definitely this is question why hindu are not safe
