Do you have any tips for if you don’t have a clear dip for capping? Would gel base/top coat be enough to smooth it out?
I once tried using a regular top coat with my revel powder gel and the top coat never dried. It was gummy so I took it off and used their top coat and it dried down. How can I prevent that from happening?
I'm new to the community, love the blocking idea. I wanted to ask why you don't use the clear dip before the color. I've used the dip program and thought it was necessary.
I actually tried the triple vitamin top coat and it was amazing!!! I had all the revel liquids and they acted up wayyyy too much.

Love your videos Marla!!!! Could you do a video on “troubleshooting some problems” that arise when starting out with dip powder? For example, After I do the 2nd dip, omg, it comes out so bumpy! And dips/cracks/holes almost like pot holes. It’s uneven. I really really want to have nails like yours but I must be doing something wrong. And I use tips too... so that might be an issue too. Idk. I have the Kiara Sky..I thought it was the base that was messed up so I switched and got the Vitadip that you use.... and still same problem.
Let me know if you have any tips.

Happy birthday hope your staying safe , love your videos and I been wanting to try the dip powders and I love the way you did these you showed us really well how to get the same results was wondering can you use any kinda tape or like yours I think it's a paper base tape but not sure but your nails look incredible , how long dose it take to do one hand and do dip powders work on bumpy nails if you know I have a b- 12 deffentlly so it can cause my real nails to be bumpy mainly right hand pointer and ring finger on right hand I'm new to this powder dip so any help be greatly appreciated , take care and have a wonderful birthday
Shy Girl hey sweetheart! You can absolutely use most kinds of tape for this! Regular scotch tape!
I’d tell ya not to worry so much about how much time it takes.. we all work at our own pace.
So you can activate one layer, and then add on another layer (i.e. the clear layer)?
Sure can! Just use caution because you don’t wanna contaminate your liquids.

Winnie Xo hey girl! So I like dipalicious base for over glitter. It’s a bit thinner and gets down in between the glitter flakes.

Do you activate after doing glitter and then do base and clear then activate again?
You can - makes it easy to file the edges, but not necessary!
I had no idea that you could use traditional nail polish top coat on dip?! Is it as strong as dip top coat liquid? Long lasting and shiny? Better?
It’s definitely not as durable or shiny as dip top or gel top, but it’ll work in a pinch! 💞

I notice i have short stubby fingers not much of a nail to do this or anything but just polish :( can't wait till my purchases come in but now i'm like no specialties
I have the melody susie e- file. Don’t know what it is but I can’t master the technique. I feel like I am removing too much of the base that the clear shows or I get divots in my nails. My cuticle aren’t perfectly round but more straight across. So I have been using a hand file😕 could I be going too fast or pressing too hard? I was trying to make it as smooth as possible and it burned me.
Crystal R it sounds like you’re both going too fast and applying too much pressure. Best advice is to practice while doing removal. With that efile I think I was going about 7500rpm for smoothing and cuticle work and around 5000rpm for prep. Also try not to sit in one spot for too long - friction burn. Hope that’s somewhat helpful 💜
Marla Kris I think I get heavy handed because I don’t really see the results. And I’m a left handed too ....soooo difficult getting my hand to cooperate.🥺.
