Insane. Rally drivers are on a completely different level to everyone else.
Rallymen before are so much more reckless than rallymen today.
different cars
@@christianobabalao9302 the cars changed, not the people
This isn't impressive. Watch gravel rally.
@@leo25337would love to see you set a record breaking lap at just the nordschleife alone. pikes peak if you’re feeling special.
Amazing graphics!!! 🤩
lol
Plot twist: He really thinks it's a game
Edit: Aight, people really think it's a game 💀
@@NuriBass69 ngl I though the same at first. Came to read the comments just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind
Mod link?
looks like hes playing this game at 1080p. its kinda blurry
Finally POV with normal FOV not making it look like it's 500kph all the time
Glad you like it. We've worked hard on finding the right camera settings to give it the closest perspective to what I see in the car and we're happy with it as well 👍
Yes. I like the really wide angle fast view, but it's also nice to see a real point of view as well.
@@ttt69420 tbh it still looks ridiculously fast... cos it is 😅
@@seanjrally I would have appreciated a bit of stabilization. Bit nauseous this way.
@@seanjrally Is there a way to message you about these settings? They look amazing. What's your Instagram?
That stage was tough, but it felt fast.
That felt fast, but let’s check the times
We have a good chance at a win in that stage.
Do you want to make any setup changes at the next service?
Yh
How'd the tires feel in that stage?
As a complete outsider to the world of Rally this is the most stressed I've been watching a video in so long. You guys are on another level and I've nothing but respect for you. Much love from Australia.
I got stressed watching it too and trying to figure out what those directions mean
Watch Rally of Sweden or Finland, then we can talk about stress :)
@@notaspectator
-large numbers (like 90, 40, 200, etc.): distance in meters or yards to next direction,
smaller numbers with direction: the tightness of a corner, a 9 left is going to be a smoother higher speed corner whereas a 2 left will be a very tight low speed one.
-tightens: although a corner starts at a higher speed/lower tightness, it finishes at a lower one.
-narrows: the road becomes a lot more narrow at the finish of a corner.
-don't: don't cut as in stay more towards the middle of a turn, this is useful if there is an imperfection, ditch, or obstacle at the inside of a corner.
-crest: means that there is a small ramp-like incline in the road that obstructs visibility which necessitates dumping a little bit of speed so as not to jump it; similarly jump, small jump or big jump indicates that there is a similar feature in the road but that jumping it is more optimal for speed.
-keep left/right/middle: self explanatory but used to indicate which part of the road to stay on for optimal turn in on the next corner or for avoiding obstacles in the road, usually useful when cresting or jumping
-in/out: similar to the previous, usually used in turns to indicate the most usable part of the road and/or which part of the course will set you up best for the next corner
there's probably some i forgot and quite a lot of minor stuff that i didn't mention, but this is pretty much all you need to know listening to a rally co-driver to understand what he's trying to communicate to his driver.
If you want a little more stress here's an onboard that gets fairly mental at times. Of course there are probably better ones out there, but there's nothing quite like some of the narrow roads they have at Donegal. czcams.com/video/U6EN6aOUCkg/video.html
@@lazyboxfish7113 What a glorious last two minutes in that video you linked. Great scenery too. Thanks for sharing.
Sean looks on point, pace notes sounds calm even on the bumpy roads. I cannot wait for more of your guys' content! The helmet mount is a great call imo. One day it would be cool to see the view from one those 3D stereoscopic cameras and put on CZcams for a VR/3D experience (super niche I know). It's like Dirt 2.0 VR but real life! Maybe make a 21st century Climb Dance style film. Too much coffee in this comment probably 😂
I love those onboards!
You guys are just built different! How you can process the information for a couple corners ahead, while still maintaining focus on what you're driving in the current moment is superhuman. Truly the definition of skills + teamwork coming together! POV angle is on point too. I'd love another angle facing backwards showing what each of you are doing?!
having done a lot of rally sim stuff on PC and in VR, hearing it and processing it isn't as hard as you'd think. you kinda just learn it pretty quick. what boggles my mind is how the co-driver manages to keep the pacing and timing correct as they are reading them out. It's fine to hear it when it keeps coming at a consistent pace and is correctly timed to your preference of how far in advance of the turn you want to hear it... but how the codriver manages to read the notes AND keep track of where they are on the stage at the same time and not fuck up and mis-speak while being thrown all over the palce is beyond me.
@@WaffleShortage yeah same, its kind of muscle memory, i can close my eyes and control everything on the car precisely, except when i dont lol
@@WaffleShortage I think it's hard, it really wares on me mentally, too easy to stop listening for a second when you're trying control the car.
@@WaffleShortage the hardest part of rally driving, is maintaining an intense focus on what you're doing, it's almost like meditation, you can't let your mind wander at all, and you have to be completely in tune with the current moment, otherwise you're in a wall.
Love that stage/road mode button😋
Smooth is fast.. This is your year guys, America is counting on you!
Take it to em!!!
Was always a dream to be a rally driver since i was 6 years old. But my body and issues with it did not let me do it. I still enjoy watching clips like this. Always good luck for you guys und stay safe.
gotta get a sim-rig man! it's the next best thing to doing it for real
get a sim racing rig. Its worth it!
get into simracing really worth it
sim racing rigs are really worth it
Sims are cool and all but who got the simrig autobots up in here bruh
The video quality is superb. Very bright too I was almost thinking wow this games graphics are immense!
Listening to engine notes while glancing to the dashboard to change gear, listening to the pace notes, aiming for the curves & straights ahead, knowing which gears used for what kind of curve, executing it as quickly as possible, there's.. just a lot to do. Rally drivers are truly on another level among other racers.
Their eyes are fixed quite far ahead they dont look at the dashboard. Some older rally cars don't even have it connected or only connect the revs. It feels different when you look at it but when you drive so fast you are reacting on a delay so you have to decide to turn half a second before your hands actually turn the wheel.
You make decisions about what you are going to do a few seconds in advance so you really need to look as far ahead as you can and have absolute trust in the co-driver when you tells you how to turn into the blind corners or crests
Absolutely stunning! The drivers precision with the calmness of the co-driver make this therapeutic. Would love to see more, best of luck, stay safe!
What an amazing video to share, thanks so much 😊 Love the pacenote delivery 👍
So smooth. great to watch. Thanks and good luck ahead
It's been ages since I've seen a proper rally car onboard video, from the driver's perspective and with audible pacenotes. Well done!
The amount of information that rally drivers need to process every bloody second is mental. Phenomenal work!
Awesome footage, thank you!
Wow I can't imagine the pressure on this. Huge respect for you guys!
This makes me realize how close we actually are to getting games looking like this
ok
was just playing dirt 2.0, eehhh i dont think so haha, unless u want a 200 gb game, which i guess might happen lel
You played too much video games that you can't tell what real life is then
@@toututu2993 Check out Ride 4. It is only a matter of time until it is done to car racing games.
Dirt 2 was more than 10 years ago brother
Absolutely amazing footage and great effort you two/
The absolute talent and commitment that these rally Lads have is truly sensational 👏 👏 from Croatia 🇭🇷
Very great 👏👏
Why can't every helmet cam be this good? 10/10!
So cool seeing the roads i drive on from a rally POV. Crazy how these are 2 way roads, still boggles my mind when i drive on em.
Superb job all around from the car, driving, navigating, and video edit...Impressive!
What the community is doing to Richard Burns Rally is absolutely amazing. Incredible graphics and physics in that mod.
TOP very high quality !!
Great clean footage. Thanks
Thank You Sean. Greeting and good luck from Poland. 💪
Dziękuję!
Nice clean run! Those little stone walls coming out of nowhere are crazy
I feel like they could make a car flip badly
it looks like the car is an extension of his body, even driving down this road at the speed limit i would be nervous, but he's pushing 100mph and it feels like the walls are closing in. honestly amazing.
You are incredible! That was perfect
great ride mate. thanks for taking us with ya
In this video we can see you are professionals! Good job, wish you luck!
American pace notes sound more casual, lefty, righty, sketch, don't. LOVE IT!
Very good ! Please do more like this 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
finnaly a high quality pov rally video, thanks
The onboards in WRC plus should be like this!
The ability to process what he sees PLUS what he's hearing AT THE SAME TIME seamlessly is absolutely phenomenal. This is Chess Grand Master level brain power(assuming he's never driven on this and it's all on-the-fly).
This video is from during a test, so I had driven over the road a handful of times by then. In the actual rally though we only get the 2 passes of recce in a road car (where we make all the notes you're hearing) and the next time we see the road is at speed, at the limit, in the rally car. It's why we love this sport 🤩
What a drive, what a technic. Amazing!
Wow thank you so much for sharing this 😍
Glad you're stoked on it!
Would you be open to doing a pacenote explanation video? I haven’t heard anyone else use your style of calls, it’s very interesting to listen to.
Definitely on the to do list!
Very interesting and quite a few notes I haven't heard before
@@_kumano Same, sound like bit and bite are used to quickly tell how much to cut.
@@ItIsHello I can tell when he says something like 3 right zone, its an area in which to hold the gear most likely
Man... VR games are getting crazy realistic nowadays... :D
Oh my god I got goosebumps.
I miss rally driving so much I got so into him reading the notes I feelt I was driving.
Thank you for this video.
The way he places the tires into the apexes is just amazing! Excellent driving.
id love a video explaining your pace notes. you use quite unique notes to the ones i’m used to hearing
Stay tuned, we're working on one!
Interesting pacenote language, quite a few calls in there I've never heard anyone use before. Would love a video explaining them, as I've always been fascinated by all the different styles of notation co-drivers use 😁
Rally (co)drivers often have their own variations on calls, especially for Americans
@@rich-tp2dx I know lol that's exactly what I said, I said I've always been fascinated by the differences in style (what gets called) and the choices in words (how it's called). There's no right or wrong as long as the driver understands what's coming up ahead and how to approach it.
Sean definitely has some of his unique on terms! But as long as it's short and has a clear, agreed upon meaning, you can use whatever words you'd like - the most hilarious are problably "nut" "cootie" and "shat" - definitely looking to do a video on it!
we'll be working on a Pacenotes video here in the coming weeks so stay tuned 👍
I like the 'don't' where cutting would be a very bad idea!
Nice relatable pov. Thanks man
Thanks for including intercom, very nice POV and focal length!
Also dope driving!
Many thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Honestly, not being familiar with rally simulations I instinctively always think it is game footage at first
Videogames still have a long long way to go, I guess full decade in front of to match real life visual.
Stunning video!
I’d be much happier if games would replicate these physics and sounds rather than ignore them for the sake of visual.
@@drazenbudis7881 i agree cuz every time I think about a game with good graphics but mediocre everything else I think of Horizon 4.
@@drazenbudis7881 you should play assetto corsa for the physics. They are very accurate
@@MaybeKian I much prefer RBR for rallying experience.

Looks like the most realistic rally game ever.
Really great POV :)😊
Awesome Sean, i love rally
We all envy you so much. Embrace the opportunity to drive such car, enjoy it, and be safe ♥️💪🤘

I was on the side of the road, you can see me on camera haha 😂
Great footage, thanks for sharing
So sick. Really good footage.
Gah Dayum new DiRT game looks fantastic, the camera shake on first person seems epic, the sense of speed is great, cant wait for more updates about the release
It’s funny to me how the co driver calls “don’t” instead of calling “ don’t cut”. I can imagine in a few years the co drivers beginning to call “nope” or even throw away the call and just nod their heads right and left 😂
Absolutely wow!
god the co drivers so good here such a calm and articulate air traffic controller voice perfectly timed and executed and the driver knocks it out of the park its terrifying to even watch the speeds u go at an the turns you make!! such a good vid please do more of these!!!
Alex is a rockstar, grateful to have him in the right seat next to me!
When are the berry people gonna put you in a proper WRC car?
Still a rare shot but one of the best. I would suggest recording in 24-30fps though - it will be even more dynamic footage and the speed even more apparent 🙂
honestly it would be a blurry mess with that much going on
maybe try a ND filter, ive seen great footage with one but only when its nice and sunny outside...
Wow, What an amazing video - YEEEEEES
amazing, this is insane!!!
Awesome !
AWESOME!!!
Wow you guys are dialed in. Major support!
Great footage. The second run was dealt with a lot more confidence because the first run was clean & top of the chart. Nice racing.
wow that was really awesome
thought it was sped up when i skipped into the race and saw the 60fps. Absolutely insane that people do that and go this fast absolute madlad.
Incredible
its neat hearing all of the different way drivers are read their notes
The stability of the eye is really mind-blowing...such a bumpy ride through the lens of a camera
Spectacular inside as you go to the limit, a pity the scare cheer up and go ahead greetings from Spain
