Agree on keeping one. Had two for too long as it was. But, with all the rule changes from year to year even one ref is confused on the right decision.
And the BUNKER is in the ear at a stoppage. A ref will see no problem with a tackle & scream at a player to play the ball. The player refuses to get up until the bunker has a look, then the ref begrudgingly has to give in & give a penalty for minimal contact on advice from the bunker. Oh & guess what the player does. MIRACLE recovery and runs back to position.

Good Call: Keep it at one ref and accept there's some degree of inaccuracies that's at a very acceptable rate. Minimize use of bunker to areas where it makes sense and does not interfere with the game or the ref as much as possible. Allow line-judges to back-up the ref or flag something when the ref is checking during decision-making or shortly after. All common sense and keeps the game "alive" above all. Whinging fans need to shut up if all the above is in effect and accept some margin calls are part of the game and the odd howler even if at sufficient low frequency. Technology will just "micro-manage" that outcome to even more tedious degrees so won't solve anything while dumping a lot of unreality into the game killing the "live spectacle and real-time action" that's at the heart of this physical and skillful and team-work type of game that's 9 times out of 10 brilliant.

The thing is people think getting rid of the bunker is a good thing…yet all it will do is allow bulk errors go unnoticed 😂
Bunker does make some shocking calls but it still gets more right than wrong.

@@BronxYTB Bunker has it's place but needs to be kept in its place. Eg try-decision is dead ball and big call so it works here. Otherwise rely on human decision-making ref and line-judges and keep the show (moving) on the road.

How about get rid of the bunker, and bring back a second ref
