I hope the game still has challenges and conflicts like crop stealing rodents or seasonal monsoons.
I agree, but I still hope it has some combat... even if it's basic combat for gathering resources or linked to exploration/story and not necessarily focused in grinding or guild/war.
@@reidervks2690 I saw a statement from the devs which said there won't even be a health bar (at least for the earliest stages of the game). Similar to animal crossing. You're most likely going to be completely safe unless something makes you "pass out" or some such.
The focuses they've mentioned are things like woodcutting, gathering, hunting, fishing, cooking, socializing, building, decorating, exploring, farming, mining, gliding, crafting, fashion etc. The closest thing to combat that I've heard is hunting with a bow. I'm pretty satisfied with that personally though. Was just stating some known info is all.

It looks gorgeous and like a game where you can actually take the time to learn the lore and not just grind for stat-best gear and levels. Can't wait!

Really excited about this. A group of former AAA game devs coming together to bring their experience to bear making a new MMO that is different from what we've been getting for years. Sounds amazing and they're fully funded and have a game that's nearly ready to release? Tell your friends, folks. These guys must really have been hustling and they deserve the exposure.

Can I just say that I'm so glad that PVP isn't even addressed in this. There is so much more to MMO interactions than PVP. Thank you for expanding on all the cool and creative ways people can interact together. I can't wait to see the features you exhibit here be demonstrated. This looks SO COOL.
From what I can tell in their FAQ. It’s pure PVE game and progression. Developers really want it to be balanced.
The accent on competition makes the bed of toxicity in MMOs, and PvP is THE MOST competitive play style, so...
Glad some developpers try something new with coop.
That can only lead to better community IMHO.

@@EspritFidget I think toxicity comes from the individual, not competition. The anger from losing to a better player is momentary and motivational. Always strive to do your best in everything you do, even if it's just creating a fancy home.

Well that right there is the problem IMHO. A lot of people are tired of being asked to perform at 100% every hour of every day.
I think people seek a place to rest, to relax, and not be judged because of it. Toxicity is generated when people are confronted with the fact they fail to perform as good as expected.
And that is something you decide when you design a game (and also when you design a society, but that's another matter). Toxicity is by design, not by individual.
That's why if competition is a core concept of Pallia it will fail as a chill, toxic-free MMO.

There will be no pvp, this is a "Community mmo" so the only way the blacksmith would be usefull is if he would make tools like hoes or rakes haha
@@sven4049 Depends on what might get included in blacksmithing. There's a technical definition for it, yes, but games don't always get that right, so if it encompasses armor or weapons at all for Palia, it would be plenty useful for pretty gear/cosmetics. But also... there's farming and crafting and building, so more accurate blacksmithing would still be useful.
@@sven4049 There's no pvp, but there is combat, though at first it seems there will only be hunting. They said in an interview they plan on adding dungeon-like content in a later update.

I seriously need this game in my life! I've been a dedicated World of Warcraft gamer for 17 years now, and in that time I haven't really been interested in other games... UNTIL NOW. This game seriously is calling my name! It looks like something more laid back and relaxing and lately I've been craving that. This really appears to fit the bill. I really want to play this!

The stunning graphics piqued my interest. The whole idea behind it, from what I've read on your website, absolutely hooked me. I love the fact you can build your own house, play at your own pace and won't be expected to participate in mandatory (end)game activities like raiding, endless dungeon running and pvp. The whole vibe of the game just... jives with me. You have my vote! Or well, at least my email for a possible invite to the pre-alpha. ^^

This looks amazing!!! This is everything I want to be a part of. It's like a combination of all my favorite features and aesthetics of gaming. The colors, the graphics, the bright, cheery, nature atmosphere. Housing, and coop play...I will not have enough hours in the day when I get my hands on this game!
