Tara I always had great luck using a small beetle spin with a one inch black mr. twister body. Awesome crappie and perch slayer on light line. Make sure that rascal you are fishing with doesn't throw his fish at your end of the boat too. LOL I saw him spooking your fish. The area you all were fishing was so pretty. Thanks for taking us along. :D

Oh the beets and onions in a bowl justbtake me back to childhood We always had those growing up with grams yummy vinagrette dressing on them. Such a good memory!

I was using a fly rod at age of 6 with dad. We used small bait called Hildabrandt Spinner with a small white strip of Uncle Josh Pork Rind on the hook. About 3” above the hook was a BB size splitshot and then a cork sinker. We jigged them around wood & boat docks. The crappies loved them. Great memories.

I love catching bream (perch, lol) & frying them whole bc the fins & tails also taste awesome. I really enjoy watching everything y'all do bc I was raised the same way in the Morganza Spillway. As I get older, I find myself reminiscing about those good ol' days quite often. There's a lot of good to be said about the simple life!

Deer love the muscadines too. I use to have a muscadine vine and a scuppernong vine. I loved eating them straight off the vine. Squeeze them out of the skins. That are so sweet.

We recently had very good weather, but last night heavy rain and storm, a large branch broke off, certainly with 2 buckets a good 35 liters of plums on it. What a mess. I haven’t seen a maypop since I was a teenager !!!! They grew in the graveyard next to my dad’s church . We ate them green , just the inside .
