Baird's voice is a bit on the heavier, unrulier side of the dramatic soprano voice, but she's got the technique to control it ideally. It seems to be a very ample, burnished sound, and this is THE voice the Dyer's Wife needs. Her ease both in the top and in the bottom is truly mesmerizing. A great interpretation, and I'm glad to see a heavy dramatic voice well controlled and used in our days!
