My blossom taste bitter. Why ? How to get rid of it ?
đđBanana blossom can sometimes taste bitter due to the presence of tannins, especially in older or unripe blossoms. To reduce the bitterness, try soaking the banana blossom in water with a bit of lemon juice or vinegar for about 30 minutes before using it. This can help to neutralize the bitterness. Additionally, make sure to remove any tough outer layers and the stamen before cooking. If the bitterness persists, you might want to try using fresher banana blossoms or cooking them in dishes with strong flavors to mask the bitterness.
