Can't tell you how many times I've gotten slammed for suggesting that people read the Bible and get to know the Word of GOD for themselves, so they wouldn't just "fall" into whatever was preached from the pulpit. Why? Because not everyone who stands pulpit has been ordained to be in the pulpit. Some will drag in friends, family members, or anybody else they think will capture the audiences' attention. They will try to make people accept Jesus under false pretenses by offering them promises that directly in conflict with the scriptures. I heard it preached once "that if people gave their lives to Christ they would have no more problems and that whatever they were going through GOD would resolve for them the following day." I don't think I've ever seen so many people running for the altar and giving their money based on this guarantee from the preacher! I was appalled. For not only did he lie on His Name, he failed to mention that GOD has already told us (through the scriptures) that a man's days were "short and full of trouble." He also tells us that no matter what we go through in this that He'd always be there with us. My brothers and sisters, this does not mean that GOD cannot (or will not bless us) in our hour of need, but there is not a single one of us alive who can tell us what GOD will do, how He'll do it, or when He'll do anything for us that He wants to do, if we put our faith and trust in Him (and if it's according to His will) and only believe! It saddens that some who gave their lives to Christ that day didn't receive the miracles that they were promised. So, please be careful of what you hear. Satan is a master deceiver and he'll use anybody (through any platform) to make us angry and draw us away from a loving and merciful GOD... Be blessed. In Jesus Name ❤.
