- What do you call musicians like Com Truise? He seems easy enough to pin down-throw out some words like "nostalgia," "synth-wave," "eighties," and "electro-funk" and you'll scrape by-but to be truly insightful about his music is tough, because art that is so blatantly referencing certain things in a certain way while also making them weird and new and unique is confusing. How do you classify something that is so obviously both vintage and current but is too fun to call postmodern?

I love this music!!! This is truly something new that came out of our recent past. I love the art that goes along with his album covers. A lot of 8-bit 80's computing referneces! Just plain AWESOME!!
My dad used to say this about real rocknroll lol he was never to into the electronic stuff but it does rain true with any real music, often immatated, never duplicated. Truly a one of a kind 3000 light years ahead of amazing musician right here. Our grandkids grandkids grandkids will be jammin this hahaha

Yea it's pretty sad all the awesome stuff they're missing out on. They get introduced to techno through popular current stuff like Daft or Squirrelex and they just can't be made to hear the beauty in the original stuff. Prodigy, Underworld, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Faithless, Leftfield, B.Eno, Nightmares on Wax, BoC, ect ect ect.
There's one or two "dubstep" groups I still like. Adventure Club has some really pretty vocals and melodies.
