My skin tone isn't dark by any means. I'm very very fair, but watching you a lot more and getting more knowledge of black owned businesses and what brands don't cater to dark complexions..... it made me notice how most people aren't educated with that kind of stuff. Even if I or someone who is fair doesn't have to worry about it. You've made me be more conscious of who I'm buying from and who I should be buying from ! Love love love your Channel!!!

Nancy H girl I was just watching Tatis video reviewing Beauty Bakerie powders and I couldn't believe my eyes at how many people couldn't comprehend the importance and appreciation of them being a black owned brand! They really found it hard to understand why we were so excited! It's really a shame how underrepresented WOC especially dark skinned WOC are in the beaut community.

And for those wondering why I did not mix the foundations to get my shade: as mentioned in the video I do have foundations that look like this when I put them on and by the time I've finished the rest of my face they usually just adjust. As it was a first time try for me, I wanted to give the product a fair chance on its own before fixing and mixing it up. Although it looked more dramatic on camera I knew it would be workable. Remember that this is a PURE color concentrate and had I been mindful of that I would have applied a bit less product. I was ultimately very happy with the shade match and glad I did not tone down the golden tones as it matched me PERFECTLY. Most of you are not going to want to buy multiple shades to mix and neither would I. I did not do anything to "fix" this shade, it naturally just adjusted to mine after adding translucent powder, bronzer, etc, as I usually do with my makeup routine. Enjoy!! xoxo

yes she did. i was in the middle of a transaction. I saw when J put up the video. I said i would watch it after I made my transaction and then.... da da daaaaaaam. I still can't get in. Jackie my have the Oprah effect of makeup. I was satisfied with some other products she had on a video now I am a believer.

I just wanted to share this. I've been watching you videos for about four years. Truthfully, I wear very little makeup and rarely ever as much as you do and we're no the same skintone. But I absolutely refuse to miss a single one of your videos because I think you are such a FABULOUS, articulate, bright, and GORGEOUS role model for young black girls. So the official website is currently not working ☹️ but the product is also available on Guru Makeup Emporium's website. But the price is £28 which is $31.58 on 6/6/17 (the cent amount fluctuates with the exchange rate). Also, even though the brand is black owned, that doesn't mean there aren't shades for my fellow white girls! I think no. 1-5 would work depending on how tan you are. We all can/should support black owned beauty brands 💕

yasmine oweda you only get about half of the product you would get in any other foundation. usually they weigh about 1fl oz this one would basically come out to $56 if you look at it like that. so yeah, I'd say it's expensive

NOW you put up a review after I purchased lol. I love her products. I only wore it one time but I'm feeling the foundation. $28 dollars isn't too expensive because you DON'T NEED A LOT! A little goes A LONG WAY!! Also, check out her enlight powders and no damn smudge at all Colorfix creams.
I remember Danessa left a comment on one of my Instagram photos, at first I didn't know who she was but after I checked out her page I got SO pumped and inspired. She's a truly amazing artist and she needs more recognition from the beauty community.

This is so exciting! I'm totally going to support her! A foundation company that actually makes one light enough for me (who can't ever find one light enough) and dark enough for everyone who can't find one dark enough is really awesome.

She wanted to give the product a chance on its own. She said a lot of foundations she owns start off more yellow and they adjust alittle more to her skin tone as they dry down
This foundation looks bomb on you and that coverage!!😱 so happy to see that women of colour are getting more options in makeup, cause the bigger brands overlook you waaaaaayy too much

I'm a way more educated buyer because of Jackie. Obviously we have very different skin tones and my skin is actually dry af but I really think about shade ranges now. Usually I'm the second or third lightest shade as my skin has gotten a lot lighter as I've gotten older but I usually never have to worry about finding my shade. I know when watching Jackie I can trust her to recommend amazing brands that cater to a diverse audience. Also, I was shocked at how her magical skin adjusted that foundation lol I wasn't optimistic about that color. You NEVER fail to cheer me up, Jackie. I love you!

Kimber Henry I have the same undertones and overtones as Jackie and I find mixing warm and neutral shades turns out grey on my skin.
To encourage color range. It would be hypocritical for her to encourage other brands to widen their color range and not to do it with this beauty line just because they are black owned. No one likes mixing foundations. Additionally, it's a color concentrate. Can you imagine how heavy the foundation would be if she would have mixed them? The color seemed to work out just fine for her and looked FLAWLESS at the end of the day.
I looooove how people think I don't know that I can mix them lmao I'm trying to give the product on its own a chance. plus I do have quite a few foundations that look really yellow when I put them on and then adjust. the average consumer does not want to buy two shades and mix, so I'm trying to see how it worked on its own without fixing it up. in the end I was satisfied with the color match on its own so I'm glad I didn't manipulate the shade

Got my sample & tried it (W05). You're right it comes off way more yellow on camera. W05 seems to be perfect for me too. It's sooo creamy smooth & the coverage (like you stated) is amazing. Only a little is needed. Can't wait to try the full look with it.

Gerrlll. I got this at The Makeup Show in NYC when it launched. It is crack. I apply it with a silisponge and I only need a half a pump to cover my whole face. Super concentrated. I'm color N07. I got so many compliments on it. the 24 hr cream colors are phenomenal too. I love her work and her line is amazing. Love it.
