HOW TO CONNECT DUALSHOCK 4 TO PS3 VIA BLUETOOTH - NO WIRES

A hidden feature has surfaced onto the internet for the PlayStation 3, allowing users to wirelessly connect their DualShock 4 to their PS3 via Bluetooth. This is a guide on how to do so. Here's a listed guide:
1. Turn on PS3
2. With your DualShock 3, go to Settings... Accessory Settings... Manage BlueTooth Device... Register New Device... Start Scanning
3. With your DualShock 4, hold down the 'Share' and 'PS' buttons at the same time until light bar blinks white
4. Once recognized, use your DualShock 3 to select 'Wireless Controller'
5. After the registration has been complete, you may use your DualShock 4 wirelessly
Quick Notes:
*This works whether the DS3 is 1st or 2nd Player
*You do not need to connect the DS4 via USB - at all
*Make sure your PS4 is off, or unplugged, while doing this
*Don't worry if you turn on your PS4 during the process randomly

Right on man, good stuff. I first tried it with a wire connected but it didn't make sense to me so I tried yours and boom, DS4 on GTA5 ;)
I was wrong :( It all works until I actually get into a game, then it doesn't work.
I've tried turning the ds3 of before loading games but no luck. I'm fully updated and everything, any advice? I pretty much stopped playing ps3 because of the controller so any help that could get me playing again would be great.

but when i want to play games like bo2 and mw2 it saya play as a guest
or sign in
i tried both and i couldn't play in the dualshock 4

The problem isn't about what is the pass key ,they give me it like when you pair you cell phone to a laptop via bluetooth but after giving me it they are not according me nor the time nor the place where to write it ,in less then 1 sec it puts me that the pass key is incorrect . Please can I know what version of the PS3 software are you using ? I think this is the clue . Reply me the version please and thank you very much for you are according me :-D

one question. can i use the headset port on the ds4 once it is connected in the ps3?
Good question I haven't tried that yet but if you have the gold wireless stereo headset that was officially made by Sony then yeah it will work perfectly fine because I have tried it it also works if you use a universal Bluetooth headset and connected to the PS3 then yeah that will also work but I haven't tried connecting the headset into the dual shock 4's headphone jack 3.5 I don't know if that will work on the PS3 but I'm going to try it
I try to do it like this but aftrr scanning and chosing the wirless controller , beside of putting register completed it puts a pass key and like there is no place to put the pass, they say that the pass key is incorrect . Please any help and I will be so thankful :-)

Carl Azzi That's unusual that there's a passkey but it's not surprising at the same time... Did you try '9999', or '0000'? Get back to me whenever and thank you so much for the support! :)

I did what you said but my ps3 won't detect the controller. The option of wireless controller doesn't even come up.

Use your USB Connector for the DS4 and connect it to the PS4, it should be able to connect automatically once connected by wire. Once you do that, it should still be connected to the PS4 wirelessly. Let me know if it helps :)

Carl Azzi The versions of your PS3 should be up to date, since all updates are mandatory now. However, you should have a PS3 Software Update 4.60
