You completely overlooked something that only appeared on the senior 1955-56 Packards. The revolutionary Torsion Level suspension with two torsion bars tieing the front and rear wheels together and replacing coil, leaf spring, air bag suspensions at all times. A shorter, separate pair of torsion bars at the rear keep the car level at all times and height adjusted for loading of passengers and trunk luggage.

...and in this car, it's not operating properly.

if that level right is not working, might that explain why the nose seems to sit low ?? I'm going tomorrow to see one (1-12-24), actually, I bought it.

@@DanTheManIOM I didn’t buy my 1955 Patrician. My parents bought it new in 1955 and I took title in 1969!

@@kubeckjay1137 Good ! BTW, 1-12 was a complete waste of time and money. Car was not running, torsion system not working, seller was 15-20 min late. My navigator missed a freaking turn and we ended up in Virginia ! oh well, enjoy your ride. 🙂

@@DanTheManIOM I hope yours runs because I'm selling mine. What I once thought was to be a dream turned into a nightmare. I know where to get all the parts and everything involved but Im now in college no longer a junior in highschool and have long since regretted my decision. If it runs you are extremely lucky if it doesn't best of luck to you.

It's powered by a 374. Beautiful car, but some real problems. The rear end is sagging badly.

You're right. That'll be big bucks to fix IF anybody who knows how to fix the torsion bar suspension is still alive.

The suspension needs attention. In proper working order the car would be level.

That was a car from the 1950's that was overlooked by buyers. It is so appreciated now however. Made too well. Beautiful car. Shitty demo dude. Look at the steering wheel way out of alignment
