I just got through field stripping. Only messed up getting one of the spring guides not seated in the notch. Then noticed the guide was proud at the front. .....aahhhhh

It looks pretty sweet. How do you think this compares to a CMMG Banshee?
That’s depending on the banshee you are looking at. I personally do not like the idea of using Glock mags in an AR platform. Glock mags are reliable but that known reliability is from their use in Glocks. The Banshee that uses Colt 9mm mags is a decent contender only because of the mags.
If I had to choose between this or the Banshee it comes down to the type of action used. The Banshee for all intents and purposes is blowback. The roller delayed action really only helps with reducing recoil. The short-stroke gas operated action of the MPX is extremely reliable and is light on recoil. It uses magazines made specifically for the MPX and for a “sub-gun” and they are proven as reliable in that gun. Ambi controls. The one downside is the use of proprietary parts.
So I’d choose the MPX over the Banshee any day.

The Scorpion has a few things going for it as well. While it is direct blowback the felt recoil is lighter compared to a direct blowback 9mm AR. The Banshee has much less felt recoil compared to the Scorpion though.
The Scorpion also has very proven and reliable mags. Which also happen to be about half the price of the MPX mags. You also have an enormous aftermarket support for parts and upgrades.
The downsides to the Scorpion is that every customer I have sold/transferred one to and every one I’ve handled there are a few things about it that are uncomfortable and in my opinion MUST be purchased alongside it. The grip, the safety selector, trigger and mag release.
The stock grip angle is absolutely horrible and is super slick when holding it. The safety selector on your dominant hand (firing) side will dig into your index finger when firing. The trigger is 9+ lbs and not fun to use. lol. It is nothing but dead heavy space all the way trough with no clear wall. The mag release is debatable on whether you will like it but there are wide paddle style mag releases on the market (kinda like an AK) that are much easier to actuate compared to the weird one on it.
Still, I would choose the MPX.

No it doesn’t. Sig had discussed initially when they came out about making different caliber barrels (specifically .357 Sig) but failed to deliver on it.

I like the gun but need more calibers I'm sick of 9mm make a 10mm. you not getting that much more velocity so make it in a more powerful caliber
Its a pistol caliber carbine. If you want more power go with .223

I just picked up 2 New old stock MCX’s, I picked up a 16” barrel as well as an 11.5” barrel. Just some word of advise, you will get shitty accuracy out of the box from your MPX, I have a Gen3 MPX and the accuracy was so bad I sent it back, Sig replaced the barrel, got the same shitty results. So I went ahead and bought an In Lead we Trust barrel. Best investment I have made for my MPX. It’s still not as accurate as my Scorpion Evo3 S2 micro but it’s a lot better then it was with the stock barrel

@@EverythingFilmmaking Huh? I’m serious that’s my experience with the MPX. Don’t get me wrong Sig makes good products But the MPX isn’t one of them. I own 2 MCX’s and EDC a custom P320 compact and a MPX and had nothing but issues with the MPX, it’s unreliable, expensive, and very inaccurate.
That’s wild. Mine is crazy accurate. I’ve read a few comments similar to yours so I don’t doubt you at all, just that mine is really really accurate out of the box.
@@oceres you may have a new generation. They have 3 generations of the MPX. I hav seen a few CZcams reviews saying the samething and having the same issues I did.

Bought an MPX19. Comes with two magazines in the box. 🇵🇭
Lots of money for a product that needs a unobtainable charging handle and about $600 in extra mags. Still have to buy optics and hopefully you don't run into some barrel issue like the dude in the comments. I was pumped to get one thank God for comments.
I wouldn’t invest too much decision making on a firearm based upon one comment on a video of mine (or anyone else’s I guess). Without seeing the person shoot you can’t verify if it’s the person’s technique, lack of training or anything else other than “this gun isn’t accurate, bought a new barrel and now it’s good”.
And yes, the mags are expensive but that should be expected from a proprietary system that has a buy in at $1300+ vs the Scorpion which was once at $600-$700 of a buy in.
The MPX, from my experience of shooting 2 Gen 2s and 1 Gen 3 has so far been great! Extremely accurate out to the point where 9mm is still effective. Features much lighter felt recoil compared to the Scorpion and a million times better than any 9mm AR. And from a reliability standpoint based on me using a random sample of 3 different MPXs I would trust one with my life but only after using that specific one 500+ rounds of mixed types of ammo (range, self defense, mixed brands…etc)
I agree getting a different charging handle is difficult. I’d highly recommend finding a Geissele CH (which is no longer produced, so it may cost you some money) or a Radian Raptor LT.
I mean if you are ready to drop $1300+ on a weapon you should be in a semi-decent spot in your life, financially. Therefore dropping $100+ on a CH and another $400-500 on a decent optic should be well within your reach.
