Darrell goes on an epic adventure to the 12,000-acre inland sea, Lake Orellana in Spain. With little knowledge of the untamed reservoir, Pecky takes on expert advice from Edwin and Resse from Angling Escapes.
Pecky starts off fishing in one of the many arms off the main body of water, an area Edwin says is a good bet for a bite, however, with the temperatures set to rise, Pecky had his sights on other shallower areas of the gigantic lake.
After a couple of nights with no action, Pecky decides to up sticks and move to where there are reported captures. With the help of Edwin & the crew, it takes a full day to move to the other end of the lake and set up base camp for the remaining nights.
This move proved to be the right one, with amazing features found and fine-tuned rigs it was game on! Going into the third night Pecky was much more confident of a bite having moved.
The following morning a one-toner was the sound the whole crew wanted to hear. After a long battle in the boat Pecky couldn’t believe his luck, he’d landed one of the many huge commons in Lake Orellana weighing 59lbs!
