You said correct mam , the way of learning and understanding things is differ from person to person.if some thing is working for me may not working for you.For example my son is an excellent reader .He has been reading lots of books for years.He is an IT professional but whenever he had free time he started reading books.one day he asked me Amma why don't you read books for improving your fluency.so I started reading with the book Sherlock homes it's not that much difficult for me.But reading Agatha christen novel I couldn't understand any thing because it has a lot of new words.I was not able to finish the book becauseI was only get time for finding the meaning of new words .so I would like to listen videos it was the only wY to understanding things for me .❤
