When I use UNT, I don’t cover entire nail, so they last about a week before they start to lift.

Hi Marla love your videos ❤ they have helped me soo much😊. If I have builder gel on and do not want to use peel off base coat should the builder gel be filed to give it texture or should it be smoothed out? I like my manicures to last 2 weeks. Would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you 🙂

Love this! I’m so ready for Spring and Summer colors! Question: Have you (or anybody else out there) ever tried a French mani with gel liquids? I would love some feedback!
I haven’t yet but it’s on my list! My plan is to do it similarly to the French technique with dip liquids.. minor adjustments. Instead of pushing the nail forward.. start immersing the tip into the French color. In my head this works 😂

If you get an early Pop-Off and are not ready to re-do your manicure, could you re-apply the pop-off nail?
Yes! Just reapply your peel base. Then your dip base and slap that baby right back in place!
So is the peel off base coat used so you can change the color mire often without having to redo the builder gel?
What is the biggest benefit to using builder gel under the dip powder? Strength only? Because technically extra coats of powder dip will give you strength right? Just trying to figure out pros and cons of using builder gel
Yep exactly! Peel base let’s me change manis every couple days without soaking or filing off.
I really just use the builder to protect my nails under peel base. If you like soak off removals, there no point to using a builder under dip 💕
If I want to use tips with this method when would apply them if I want to keep the tips on for the next set?
You can do one of two things.. you can use peel base (like me) so you can just pop the dip off - but this tends to not last very long. Maybe a few days. Or you can just file off your dip down to the tip when you’re ready for the next manicure!
Love this! Have you ever tried peel off base in-between layers of dip(but after using activator and top coat of course)? My every day nails have 2/3 layers of clear dip on them to strengthen the nails(I file pretty heavily after).. I've been thinking of trying to do peel off bases and do a few layers of coloured dip on top, but not sure if it would work. So would be interested if you have any experience with this. I find builder gel starts lifting faster than the dip powders.
Only thing is.. acrylic is porous so the peel base will likely absorb into it and be ineffective. You CAN dip a few layers and then top coat THEN peel base!

hi marla just so that i understand if i have builder gel on my nat nails and NO PEEL OFF BASE I can just proceed to my dip application on the builder gel without buffing the builder gel product. buffing is only required if someone is using a peel off base coat correct?
Right! You’d want more texture on the builder so the dip adheres 💕

You’ll definitely want to top coat the dip! Peel base will just absorb into the dip if you don’t top coat. Then apply your peel base and do whatever you’d like on top!
If I'm going to use dip powder over my Builder gel without pill base do I need to remove the tacky layer first?
If you’re using gel base, no. If dip base, yes.

Yes! It can look pretty BUT if you over mix it or tap too rough - it flies everywhere
Could I do builder gel, peel off base and then gel polish?
Absolutely!! It works great! Just make sure you cap your edges well ❤️
When you use unt over dip how many layers of unt do you use?
I only use one coat of the peel base 💞
I think you’re the only creator I’ve seen that’s only using 1 coat of UNT also!!! Everybody uses 2-3 coats and I find that so excessive
I super agree with this. I can’t speak to other brands of peel base, but I use UNT mostly and I’ve never needed more than one coat 🤷🏻♀️

Depends lol it behaves different for everyone. Could last a few hours.. could last a few days! Give it a shot!
