This is just an exaggerated interpretation of extra thick nails , sometimes clients come with extensions from a different nail salon and it’s so thick so it takes forever to file them off. This exact nail is not from a real client, of course, it was after I did 100 layers challenge 😁
Duck nails are my nemesis! They give me the ick so hard!!! Also, when I see a terrible job by another tech, I'm not perfect, but when I see over filing, my fingers hurt!
I can sympathize with both. I lose enough of my own hair in nails, and then the kids running through, it's just bound to turn my nails into a Brillo pad. I started using scotch tape for my ombre sponges, so I can reuse them. Then one day I decided I would try using the tape on a nail that had noticeable fuzziness on a nail, right when I was ready to topcoat it. I had a light bulb moment and thought I'd try using the tape on the nail because if it got rid of the fur, it would be great but if not, it was ruined already anyway. It did a pretty decent job though.
Faffing about with their bloody phone during the service and thinking they're keeping still! Also the STIFF fingers, despite telling them MULTIPLE times to 'RELAX!' 😮😅
As a stiff hand client, nothing tenses me up more than being told to relax, obviously I get why you do it but what works better for me is getting distracted so if you’re able to get them talking it might help

It doesn't matter how much I brush her or how much I vacuum, her fur is everywhere. Last time I was trying to do a set of polygel nails and poof...fur!! 😄 Easy enough to remedy but still😅
I have the same situation, except it's my own shedding and my kids that seem to leave all kinds of dust or furries in my gels. I started using scotch tape for my ombre sponges so I don't have to throw them away after one use, and now I use it for all the furries I find on my gels and nails. 😂

I recently got very annoyed by a product. Bought a new rubber gel in black and used it normally like I always would and it didn't cure. I soaked it off, tried again with thinner layers and it didn't cure again. Soaked it off again, wasted about three hours of my life with this and had to file down my nails because the process of soaking/scraping uncured gel off my nails damaged them too much. So frustrating!!
My mom was a nail technician, and she would only do my nails every few months 😢 she passed a few years ago, but I still have the last acrylic set she did for me ❤ I wish I could get my nails done by her one last time. I don’t really trust any technician to do them anymore.

I had a client return saying that her white tips from her French turned BLUE overnight. I asked “were you wearing new black pants?” She didn’t even answer, she just apologized. I still fixed them for her though.
I dont get my nails done anymore and will occasionally paint them with gel polish at home because I realized very quickly that I'm just not "delicate" enough of a person. I love nice long nails but I always end up chipping and/or damaging my nail bed.
