- Congratulations to all of the Teen and Senior VIP Finalists from all over the country who performed in this opening production "Footloose" from the 2014 The Dance Awards Closing Awards show held in Las Vegas. VIP Finalist Dancers from all over the US, Canada, and Costa Rica performed in this number. CCJC dancers were honored to just be among these wonderful dancers. Choreographed by Nick Lazzarini and Mandy Moore. I do not own the rights to this music being used for educational purposes only.

OMG i love this!!!
IMHO one if not the best interpretation and "live" performance of Footloose. I watched others her on youtube but I always came back to this and I wondered why. But now I guess I know: the choreography tells a story, it's not just about effects, male and female parts are more equally distributed, and the outfits are not over-the-top, not sterile, but naturally, individually, still sexy. Especially the open hair and headbanging of the females and the black performers impressed me. Yes, it's not a perfect performance, little mistakes, but as Curt Goetz once said about a students orchestra: "A youth orchestra might play wrong sometimes, but it always has to play young". That's the main point here, too: you feel the youth of the performance and that's what lacks the others.
