Teq Orange Piccolo did exactly what he did in the movie: buy enough time for the Beast, and he stayed at #1 the whole time to boot
This beings a tear to my eye
I hope Truth sees this, but maybe it will be helpful to someone else as well. During giant/rage forms, there's an extra tech you can do to help your rotations vs locks.
Basically if you remember what unit is in what slot, if you move the piccolo that's in that slot, it will have moved the original unit at the end of the transformation.
In other words, at the 10 minute mark if Truth had slid the orange piccolo in slot 2 to slot 1, at the end of the transformation the rotation would have been Piccolo slot 1, ToP blues slot 2, SoH slot 3.
Tldr; moving around the cards of a rage/giant form, also moves around the original cards in the rotation at the end of it, which is good tech to have vs locks.
Kinda shocking he didn’t know that.

Orange Piccolo has been a really great release. Unlike some releases, like Lr Kale and Caulifla, which just lowered every other unit's value in a bad way, Piccolo has been a very healthy top 3 for a long time.
He was surpassed when the Syn Fight first came out, since the GT Duo was the best unit for it. He was still a great option.
Then when the INT Omega fight released, he was still exceptional, but units like Bulma were better.
Then during the WWDC, he regained his position as No.1 with the Red Zone Zamasu fight.
So, all in all, Piccolo's reign has been really healthy for the game. So happy that they made him this good and not in a bad way.

10:36 And this why i think the taunt mechanic and the Giant transformation are much closer in utility than people think. Sure, the Giant form is better than the new taunt mechanic in which it cancels the aoe's, but the thing the taunt mechanic has over the Giant form is that none of your other units have to take any attacks (other than aoe's) at all.

@@mzk3448 it doesn't cancel it but if you move the giant form unit that was in the locked slot at the end of the giant form your unit will move so you can ignore the lock (sorry if it wasn't clear english isn't my best)
This fight showed me exactly why OP is in fact not #1, and how it will be exponentially more the case when the Part 2 units release

I just want to quickly point out that all the best units are all so close in comparison of how good they are ranking in the top ten barely even matters at this point everoine has become so good. This is undeniable proof we are all in the best era of dokkan! (Plus we got beast and double gammas now😎)

What truth also didn't mention/ didn't know? is that you can also do to counter locks is actually MOVE the orange piccolo in giant form according to the actual rotation. Because if truth moved the first Op to the third slot and the second Op to the first slot that moves power awakening Piccolo to slot 1 even though he got locked. Truth didn't even realize the goats true power

For those who are not doing no item runs. You can bring the plant, sensu, or dende item, and they will cancel the lock

Maybe if the hardest fights in the game were still aoe focused I could see a case for Piccolo still being 1, but atp the fights are longer and aoe's are not anywhere near as prevalent, Giant form on turn 3 doesn't really matter much if you're not facing the hardest phases by turn 3 anymore in a lot of these fights, and piccolo can't hang in there like Broly and Gogeta, not to say that he hasn't aged stellarly, far from it, he's just not 1, though I guess this doesn't matter much anymore considering Beast is now the undisputed king

In order to be replaced on the throne, it took the behemoth that is Beast Gohan. Our giga chad piccolo held out strong, but now the true beast is finally here to claim his throne.
I would argue the best active is Super trunks. Ghost usher which is stronger than OP taking away special abilities and then also the attack itself does crazy damage more than OP
Piccolo kept the number 1 spot warm for beast. It’s almost perfect beast will take his spot and I can’t wait to run these 2 together

gogeta dominates and helps so much as well, I'd say he's a lil bit better considering his full potential is way higher and his AS saves us time compared to OP, also his guard isnt restricted compared to piccolo, which isn't a huge deal but still matters.

He dominated all events like it was nothing and no unit was better than him in every relevant event.
Even when the shadow dragon event released and syn was the strongest boss in dokkan,he just dominated PEOPLE WERE SAYING AND REFFERING TO OP AS A CHEAT CODE.
Even Truth said he was a cheat code and barely used him because he would make events and fights too easy.
The same was for OMEGA and when the dismal future redzone and divine wrath and mortal will event dropped,Zamasu,Trunks anything in the game were never on his level.
The 9th anni introduced two powerful challengers were OP vs Broly or Gogeta was an equal fight but in reality OP still had better and more effective ways to help his team and damaged with his crown on his head,BEAST GOHAN TOOK IT AND BECAME NO.1 AND PICCOLO NO.2
