You may hear a few cracks here and there, that's probably because I've got around 19 Serums and 6-7 Sylenths opened. I'm surprised my PC hasn't blown up from this song yet xD
Anyways, here's the full remake of the song. Learned so much from it, and had a ton of fun making it. I hope you guys enjoy it as well!

Btw, I guess you should sidechain a bit more at the first drop, I mean sidechain or automate the volume of the whole instruments a bit more to get that pumpy feel. But you have great talent to make those chords perfect.
Yeah, i did kinda mess up the sidechains. You can hear in the original that one of the leads isn't using the same sidechain as the other leads and the chords, which i haven't done. I'm using the same volume automation for all synths in the drop, and i should've made another one for that specific lead. I've tried increasing the curve, but it sounded a bit too much, so I left it as it is. You're free to experiment with it though xD
Edit: Also the sound quality is much lower than it should be, probably because i was using the nVidia recording tool. I've got it uploaded on SoundCloud with better quality.

What did you "guitar recording" processing chain have on it?
For that sample I recorded the different notes separately in a different project (because I couldn't play it normally since I suck xD) and pieced them together. I don't think there were any effects or anything special on it other than slight amp-ing with Guitar Rig 5. I don't remember if I put the reverb in the "Guitar recording" project or the main FLP project, but I think that's the only effect on it.

The main thing about the lead sound is a detuned Square synth alongside a detuned saw synth. Make sure to set the voices either at 6 or 8, pick whichever sounds good for you. You can do these in Sylenth or Serum or any VST like those two. Aside from that, I've added an LFO, set it to influence the main pitch and turned up the rate of said LFO quite high to make that gritty sound. As for the effects, I've used distortion and EQ to cut off the low parts and boost the mid-highs, as well as your everyday friendly reverb. So aside form that main lead, I've layered it with a crap ton of detuned hypersaws, and one saw synth that is almost identical to the main gritty square-ish synth that I just explained about, however I lowered the amount of distortion and instead of a square-saw combination I set it to just saw-saw. There's also another saw synth that isn't as detuned, but there to kind of interact with the square one. It's just like the normal hypersaws but with a lot less detuning.

around 6:50 6:55 ish , he is automating the volume for the drop synth, why is that? why would you duck the volume if its not just for the side chain
I like to make my sidechains with a single volume automation and then linking that automation to other volume controllers in the mixer. For example, I sometimes have a few lead synths spread on different mixer channels, but I want them to share the same sidechain, so I choose one random mixer channel, I automate the volume and then link it to all the other channels. It's just personal preference, but that way it's much easier to set the shape and amount of sidechain.
TL;DR The volume is only used as the sidechain xD
