  • Welcome to my channel! In this video, I, DJ Peck, will take you through my evolution as a wedding introductions master. Join me as I showcase my current style of short and sweet introductions compared to the more detailed ones I used to create years ago.
Throughout my journey, I've faced personal challenges, including my accent and fear of public speaking. But I refused to let these obstacles hold me back. Instead, I discovered that speaking less, but with more force, allowed me to command the room and connect with the audience in a whole new way.
In this video, I'll share my insights into why I shifted my approach, the impact it has had on the wedding experience, and how it has enabled me to overcome my fear of speaking in public.
So, if you're curious about the art of wedding introductions, intrigued by personal growth stories, or looking to improve your public speaking skills, this video is a must-watch!
Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more engaging content on weddings, event entertainment, and personal development. Let's embark on this transformative journey together!

Good advice from DJ Peck. Once the dancing starts, my motto is, "Let the music 🎶 🎵 speak for itself."

I like this technique . It’s professional and it allows the music to pump up the crowd instead of a MC shouting all night.

I completely agree about the short and sweet! I used to think the same where it was cool to do the long, more showy intros but realized that less is definitely more. More importantly I think as couples are getting younger and entertainment attention spans are getting shorter (TikTok, IG etc) people don’t prefer the MCs talking too much and would just prefer the show to get started!

I love watching your channel. Short and sweet and let the music play.
The accent.. I got one too , but I try to use it as an advantage-:)

Short and sweet is the way to go! You do you bro! This was great and enjoyed the music at the very beginning to get the feeling going and get some hair stand up on the crowd. Excellent!

Love that venue, that place has a weird echo when you stand directly under those circles.

I love it DJ Peck. Less is definitely more. The most important thing is that you have some really great background music playing as you introduce the bridal party. My go to introduction song is In The Stone by earth, wind, and fire the long version that has more instrumental. I think that makes the best impact and work on your pronunciation of the word wedding. wedDING not weddin. :)

@@lavishlifedjs yes you should always have a really good track playing in back ground of your announcements. I think that works the best unless you get a bridal party that wants seven different songs ones. Do you know what I mean one for every couple which is kind of silly

Well we know you are not afflicted with COPD judging by the way you belt out the grand entrances. /). We also know you have a handsome set up. Can I use handsome as a description of your presentation? All I know is that it fits. Fantastic job you’re doing.
Totally agree on the speaking. I think you’re dead on right about the amount of talking.
So happy I found your channels. As for an accent. I’m from Newfoundland, we have all sorts of thick (tick)) accents. Your accent is quite minimal and pleasant.
    Cheers!!!

perfect! yes agree less is more. Professional speakers use pauses and space to create a more powerful and dramatic impact. I cringe at the MC's that go on forever with their intros, just shut up and get on with the party and event!

    • @lavishlifedjs
      @lavishlifedjs  Před rokem +1

4 sure, pauses do create space, something I’ve been trying to work on as well

I have a very similar style. Short and to the point. I actually like your introduction more than most. Some of others I've heard on CZcams sound too scripted and too formal. Yours is very natural. At the end of the day it's more about how we say it and not just what we say.

Hello DJ Peck. Thank you for your advice. Less is better. I just want to know the name of the song for your entrance. Thank you. Sorry for my English. I’m créole and French.

Less is more even if you’re really good on the mic as a dj or just a party goer observing the dj , imo djs that talk too much take away from the event .. key is to find the sweet spot
