Really????? holly crap. why the police is not on this is completely behold me.

      @pouncepounce7417 Před 2 lety +2

      @Kai McCook My point is not so much about CGI used well or not, it is more about that CGI is compared to physical special effects so cheap a lot of the movies are relying on eyecandy, flashy pixel explosions, less plot and acting.
      So your example would be an guy who knows how to make movies and then adds an extra layer of cake icing CGI on top, but most scrimp on the plot and go all out on the special effects.
      If you first think "how can i convey that scene as sparsly as possible regarding special effects and if you get that right add some on top, that works

    Jean Reno is one of the most underrated actors of all time, who should honestly be considered one of the greatest with how amazing he was in this film. If only, he was seen more and gotten more, because he honestly deserves it so much with how incredible he is. Like this whole interview, just gets into my feels because of him, and the amazing heartfelt acting performance he did. A film with so much build-up, filled with raw emotions and feelings with a film that is truly memorable, unforgettable, legendary, and filled with emotions that you honestly can't help but feel alongside the characters & the emotional story behind it, especially what happens at the end which just makes this film turn to a sudden turn of just pure sadness especially with the build-up & how emotionally intense it was. A film & song where its just pure black and white, a film & song that has such strong emotions & feelings from/to your heart. Its a film where you just feel pure raw emotion as if you're the character or if you're seeing it first hand in person. A film with such a perfect selection of a cast with such underrated actors such as Jean Reno, Natalie Portman debuting in her first ever film which launched her acting career, Gary Oldman, and so many others. A film with such an emotional bond that you honestly can't explain it fully, its something that you honestly have to feel it to experience it. Its a film that's meant to be experienced through emotion, not through explanation just like Leon whenever you would see his character's facial expressions of what he would feel, like the amount of strong emotion behind it, is incredible, especially towards the end of the movie where you'd expect it to end off in a happy ending but it ends sadly. It can't be described fully in words, just through your own heart & emotion, especially with how perfect the film was, like there's no flaws with it. It's a film filled with strong emotional, action-packed storyline and soundtracks that honestly make you feel sad for Leon and Mathilda as if you're a part of them. Jean Reno truly nailed the performance like hes so underrated, and it really shows the amount of talent Natalie had which started her career in one of the greatest films of all time like all the roles were nailed perfectly. Its just a masterpiece. Not only that but this movie didn't have much of a budget either, and it turned out to be so successful and one of the greatest films of all time, which you can't deny, its something that everyone agrees on, like it or not, it is. Luc Besson the director literally nailed it & also proved how even at the time you didn't need that need such a huge budget to accomplish these things, and what an era it was, and what a big name for European Films if not the greatest European film, in comparison with American films that need such a big budget to accomplish the effects, it really shows the difference between the two as all thats needed is raw emotion. Such a masterpiece, a film like I said filled with such an emotional bond that you honestly can't explain it fully, its something that you honestly have to feel it to experience it. Truly unforgettable, memorable and much more. I honestly wish it got more credit that it was unfortuantely given, it honestly deserved so much credit, especially an award for Jean Leno and his performance. Such a perfect selection, such a perfect story, film, and of course music selection. One of the few films where you experience raw emotion, and feelings. Like even the trailer itself is just amazing. A film that you honestly feel through your heart, its just heartfelt like the emotions of the film just go through your heart and makes you feel it as if you're one of the characters especailly as Leon and Maltithda, and not only that but heartbroken as well, especially at the end of the film where you see a flash of light slowly entering and then fading away knowing that hes passed & finally achieved the peace he wanted, while also having something to loose for, and love with actual roots being placed - a meaning for him which was Maltithda. Like even now, when I watched this movie, I still feel the emotions thats how strong it is, its attached, especially every time when you look back to it and it always hits you over and over again. Like it's just unexplainable, you can try your best to explain it, but its something you just gotta feel for yourself like I said and its so emotionally intense. 5 stars. A film that literally hit me hard so many times in my feelings, and made me realize the true meanings of love & life, purpose. regret, change and gave me a perspective, a will, a reason, change - everything. It literally has so many messages, and feelings, of dreams, hopes, and roots. Like man this film just changes you, pure chills, pure tears, pure emotion, pure sadness and much more as well. So much to say, its honestly endless, with so many emotions & feelings.

    Wrong reaction on behalf of the laughing audience to their own natural discomfort. It was meant to make you feel uneasy about where Mathilda was headed, not just in the film but in her life after the credits. Meant to make you squirm, not laugh. No wonder they cut it. But in the long version, for my money it's the most emotionally effecting and disturbing scene by far. Leon isn't just the Professional. Despite his work, his somewhat childlike manner or perhaps because of those things he embodies Conscience as much as he does Death.
    In the end, his love is Sacrifice.

      This movie is that the reality of my Uncle & I. I lost him on Valentines day will be 2 years. If all you people that are fans could of only knew that in parts It was actually reality. I lived it & still cry. I'm grown up now. When he died I couldn't get out of bed for one week. I had to be helped to the bathroom. I prayed the I could go to the service. He was with me. I did it. He was all the I had in the world. I still can feel my Leon ( my Uncle ) if I'm alone in bed at night If I listen close enough I can still hear my heart breaking. Rest in peace. Your angel loves you

    This is my favorite movie of all time. Some people have decided to see it in a negative way & nothing can change that. A hit man meets a girl who boycott school without the knowledge of her parents & same parents left her exposed to smoking & other vises & they all got killed but her. He rescued her, asked if she has any family she could go to but she said no & she could be killed the same night if he didn't protect her. He never took advantage of her & several times cautioned her about lusting over him bc she was a kid & it made him feel uncomfortable , asked her to stop smoking, cursing & don't hang out with thugs. Leon mentioned a lot of times "no women, no kids" Took her on a mission but didn't let her use real bullets & in the end died while protecting her & left money to be given to her for her education & life.
    Reminder:99% of action movies are about killing, drugs & other vices. This is just a movie with a wonderful story better than a lot of other Mafia & action movies. If you don't like it, you can watch church always as your own movie. It's a free world.

    I never thought I would watch a 38-minute-long video on youtube, even if it was about one of the greatest movies ever. But here I am watched the whole video and some parts even twice without noticing how the time went by. The story also evolves with you. I remember, when I watched the movie for the first time, the story between Matilda and Leon did nothing to me at all. She just seemed to be a silly child playing some silly teenage girl games as they all do. Leon's and Stanfield's characters were more captivating for me, the action, all criminal atmosphere, all so cool. I didn't even recognize her when I saw Portman in Star Wars. Only later I realized that the story line between Matilda and Leon has way more to it than just an adult protecting a child.
    Great video. Never knew who Maiwenn was until now and didn't know her story, didn't know she played Diva Plavalaguna either. She is very beautiful. Thank you, Marina.

    Just watched this movie for the first time. Many child actors don't make it to adult acting with longevity. If I had watched this movie in 1994 not knowing who Natalie Portman was, I would've had no doubt we'd be seeing much more of her success in the future. Absolutely brilliant. This is the movie that George Lucas noticed her in and decided to cast her in the Star Wars prequels, which was only 5 years later.

    It is particularly of its time, and it's also timeless. A stunning tour-de-force from all involved, not a weak link in the chain (production staff and cast both). Maybe not the best film ever made (I mean, how can we really have just one best film?) but my lord, it is absolutely up there with the best. Kane, Apocalypse, Leon, Godfathers - yeah, it fits right in there.
