After buying the Marantz amplifier, CD player and a pair of B&W speakers, I got myself the Sony Mini-Disc. I was the happiest guy alive. I was recording various mix discs from CDs and from the radio and eventually bought a portable Mini disc, similar to Walkman. I've connected that to my car stereo through AUX input and blasted St Germain's new album "Tourist" for months. The whole car both was one giant subwoofer. You can imagine my neighbours and innocent people walking their dogs when I came through with a thump-thump-thump that broke widows..Oh, those were the days...

I wonder why reviewers never mention or drive MK4 GTI 25 Anniversary Edition which was actually real GTI, with proper suspension, gear box, interior and exterior, completely different car.
Yes, good point. Also they never mention the MK3 20y anniversary, only 150 were 2.0 16v, 200 I think were GTI TDI and the rest to 1000 were 2.0 8v. And from those 150 even less were 2 door. In my opinion that is the ultimate MK3, far better than a VR6
One of my life highlights was as a college student in Italy in '91, getting to ride in a friend's dad's GTI mk II, driven by friend, at speed. That'd what brought in to this car thing. My first car, years later.
