HOW TO MIX SKIN TONES WITH OIL PAINT: Using only 4 colours

Have a look at this super easy way to mix skin tones using just 4 colours and white.
I remember when I first started using oil paints I had no idea where to start with mixing colours for my portraits. I discovered an artist called 'Daria Callie' on youtube and she helped me so much with using oil paints. She was also the reason I started to mix my colours on glass and honestly I would never go back to using palettes now!!

I'd also just like to say in the video I say to stay clear of using black. You can get a nice image by using black too so I should've just said be really careful with it if you do use it!

Do you have any tips for creating a final outcome? (Im doing gcse art)

the biggest thing I would recommend is practice! It sounds silly but honestly practice your final piece as many times as possible before the real thing as then you'll encounter any problems before the real thing. I would also keep referring to your reference photo to try and match colours as closely as possible x
