The Coloured Raine metallics were my first Indie Brand single shadow purchase as well as my first duochrome. I also bought a few of the vivid mattes as singles. I own all the CR palettes & mini palettes & I like their mattes. Their shimmers are hit & miss. Some are very foiled & metallic & reflective & some aren't. I bought mostly greens since this was before the Gemini & green palette phase. CR did more purples & neutrals in their palettes. I still haven't found a deep dark green matte that can compare to Squad from CR. I am finding myself more drawn to sparkle, color shifts & liking different textures & so I understand why a metallic just doesn't blow your skirt up anymore no matter how pretty it is.

I ordered from jdglow recently and unfortunately my package got lost in the mail so it took several weeks. The cool thing is I guess they work with an app called route that insures the package so even if I had not finally received my package they were already in the process of having it be reshipped. Also bought unexpected and it definitely lives up to the hype. So pretty and sparkly.
Good God is my ABSOLUTE FAV JD GLOW and shadow in my collection. I also have the other 3 shadows you have, but that silver with the blue purple shift out of nowhere looks SO SICK. It’s so amazing as a halo eye with just some plain, dark mattes (like basic browns). My grandma even said it looks awesome, and she’s not a person who notices makeup
I just received my eyeshadow!!! Took 10 days ALL the way to the U.K. so impressed with the delivery! I’m totally speechless!! I just can’t describe it’s beauty!!! How will I ever use another eyeshadow again😂😂😂

Good Gawd from JD Glow goes into almost every custom palette I make! It's my topper shade of life. I pat it onto pretty much every eye look I do these days. Love it! 👌💙
Also, Unexpected and Good gawd are my two favourite jd glow shadows. And I almost never bought either of them because I thought they looked so boring on the website! They are so beautiful.
ALSO I bought Unexpected bc of this recommendation, which is good bc now they're sold out... and it is SO PRETTY. I love it. As someone who's half Filipino, Ube (you got the pronunciation right btw!) super excites me. It's named after a purple sweet potato that's super popular in Filipino cuisine
Ooh, you had me at Ube (your 2nd guess was on point!)... In the Philippines it's a purple taro root, not sure if other countries call it Ube, too... But it's my ABSOLUTE favorite flavor in the entire world... We make desserts out of it mostly. If you're ever back and ordering bubble tea, order the Ube flavor (or it's sometimes Taro flavor or Purple Yam flavor)... I promise, you will fall in love 🥰🥰😃 Also, I am SO ELATED you said what you did abt JD and Unexpected... I couldn't agree more to both sentiments!! I have one in my palette and two on backup... 😄😄

The butterfly kisses collection from looxi and the galaxy shadows from jdglow are my favorite makeup purchase in 2020. Sooo stunning. The nabla shadows are good too. Both the matte and the shimmer formula is great imo. 😍
I actually like how Lethal Cosmetics does it. I just ordered from them (Aftershock + another 12-pan full of mattes), and not everything I wanted was currently in stock. So they allow you to pre-order, and get them all at once! It takes around 1-2 weeks for things to be restocked, and around 5-7 days for international shipping. I'd so, so much prefer that, than miss out on a few shades that I had really wanted, or try to wait until they're ALL in stock (never gonna happen). So yes, please, brands! Do this, if you can!
I love Coloured Raine mattes, they perform very well on the eyes, but they swatch horribly. I also love their metallic, but I also prefer a standard metallic to the flaky, glittery, textured eyeshadows that are very trendy right now. Their shimmer shades are just okay, not really my prefered formula.
I have Peacock, AKA, Anomaly and Good Gawd from JD Glow and honestly your vids have pushed me to buy the other singles I have been craving, specifically Unexpected, Prismatic and 365!
My best experiences with indie brands were Sydney Grace, Love Luxe Beauty and Terra Moon Cosmetics. I order from Lethal and even though the shipping was PRICEY, the shadows were nice and they got to me super fast, like they got to me in the midwest in five days from GERMANY during the pandemic. Clionadh is notoriously slow, I ordered in January and they arrived in MAY. I love their matte formula, even though they are famed for their duochromes and multichromes. I've ordered from a ton of indie brands and it's just me, but when the pans come really empty, or are too messy or powdery I usually don't reorder. Sydney Grace, I think is the most consistent I've tried.
I made my first purchase from Clionadh in the summer and your videos on your collection were so incredibly helpful in picking out which shades I wanted to try. Thank you Lauren! I finally got my order early November and I love them so much, it was absolutely worth the wait! I appreciated that Clionadh were up front about what to expect from the process, so the long wait didn't feel unreasonable. And they're always posting updates showing what they are working on, so you know they're acting in good faith. You were also totally right about the glitter multichromes, they are lovely!
I've been refreshing checking to see if this had been uploaded 🙈 I just ordered from Pretties For Your Face yesterday, I'm glad that I got Flare and Brocade! I didn't get Galaxy because I knew I wouldn't use a sparkly black, even Brocade will be on the deeper side for me, but it looks so beautiful 😍 I haven't tried Devinah personally, but I've heard they're also amazingly fast for shipping! I think they're closed to prep for Black Friday right now tho Hannah's been singing Unexpected's praises since her no buy year, I see you've joined the worship 😂 It's def on my Black Friday wishlist I think the Coloured Raine foils were good when they came out, I liked them better than the Makeup Geek foils and they were cheaper 😅 But the trends have gone from foils to sparkle, and Coloured Raine haven't had a new single shadow formula to mimic that 😬

Devinah Xploders is one of my very favourite collections everrrr. They need a glitter glue, though. I generally like a darker / brighter colourful crease and a pastel lid, and they're everything I want!

I've ordered JD Glow tons of times and they are definitely the fastest brand I've every had to process and ship. They can legitimately beat Amazon sometimes. It's crazy 😂

Based on your preferences, I think you’d really like Terra Moons, particularly their shimmer formula. You can usually tell which finish these are in my experience because they are the $8 shadows vs the $6 shadows. They’re known for their chameleon shadows which are also great, but I also love their shimmer formula. I’d sort by best selling. I’ve found the top shades to be amazing if you are thinking of placing an order. I got Unexpected by JD Glow a while ago because of reactions like yours. And you are right about it. Stunning!
I know it’s hard but the best advice I can give is order and then forget about them. You have to get it the proper head space, and Try not to drive yourself crazy everyday looking for your tracking details. The only brand I can think of that took a long time to ship was Glaminatrix. Their turn around time is usually 2 months but because of covid it was like 4 I think. Let me stress it didn’t make them any less beautiful when I did get them and I would ABSOLUTELY still order again from them. Devinah, looxi, terra moons, Sydney grace and jd glow all shipped as they said they would and some actually the same week. Lethal being from Germany took a while to get to the states, but again not a problem for me. Also the customer service for each of these companies was great. They answered any questions I had about shades or different textures or shifts. I love everything I have and they all bring me way more joy than a palette ever has. No more palettes with 5 shades of brown I already have. It’s exciting and new every time I use them. 🥰🥰💕💕 I’m excited to see the new mattes from looxi look nice. I don’t have any of their mattes.

I love JDGlow but, as you mentioned, the difference in the finishes/textures of the Galaxy shadows is a little annoying. The shade Lavender in their Metallon line should be a Galaxy shadow so sparkly and beautiful!
I agree, my friend got some shadows from them and was also annoyed with the differences in all the Galaxy shadows. It’s definitely worth watching a few reviews or seeing swatches on their Instagram before choosing what to buy.
Unexpected is my favorite eyeshadow ever, too! Prismatic is the other JD Glow single I have, and I also have their liquid multichrome in See Weed, which is just spectacular. Definitely a favorite.
I had Ube and Painted Lady in my cart bc they were finally in stock and woke up to them being out of stock after this video LOL oh well. I'll have to grab them some other time, maybe with some mattes

JD glow galaxy shadows are so. good. Everyone that loves sparkly shadows needs unexpected in their collection. Idc if you only like neutrals, brights, grunge etc. Just get unexpected lol. I do wish JD glow would further categorize their galaxy shadows by finish on their site cause there's some drastically different finishes within that line. I would actually consider coloured raine my favorite matte formula and they actually swatch very smoothly for me with the exception of ladyship which has a gritty texture. You are correct though that they are discontinuing their singles line completely and they supposedly will not be coming back at all, they just want to stick to palettes. I enjoy their metallics as well but they generally do not have that added sparkly finish that's more common now. If you like their singles though I'd recommend getting them now before they're allegedly gone for good.
I have a bunch of the JDG Galaxy shadows but I didn't have Unexpected. After this video I placed another order to grab it (and the awesome green one). I already know I love the shadows and I'm excited to finally have that shade! 💚
I love that Midas came out with 2 shadows from the SmokeyGlow palette, cuz one of them (Nutty) ive already hit pan in my palette, and the other one (Leno) ill hit pan next time I use it. So im so excited I can repurchase those 2 shades cuz I go through them so much faster than the rest of the palette

The looxi shadow monarch reminds me of Twinkle in the colourpop kathleen lights dream street palette. I’m most interested in those colorful mattes you got. I need a video recommending the best colorful mattes in colors like green and yellow 💕
Sydney Grace shimmers are my preference- smooth/metallic. The two Terramoon shimmers I have I love but they have sparkles which is not my preferred formula but I appreciate Terramoon fine fine sparkles. The only other indie brand I have (other than one palette from CPop) is glamlite icecream and I am impressed with the pastel pigment payoff it has on my tanned skin. Was so impressed with the two shimmers I have used so far -great shimmery payoff even with a fluffy natural squirrel brush (Chikuhodo GSN9) I was impressed. Not many shimmers in my collection behave so well with that brush (I was just playing around and being lazy with my brushes hence used the GSN9)
I ordered fairy acid and 365 after watching one of your vids and threw unexpected in just to see how it would be. Now unexpected is My Absolute Favorite.

I prefer the edginess of indie sparkle shadows, and cool tones.. mmmmmm, great mattes too.. My favs are Give Me Glow, Devinah, JDGlow (the Galaxy shadows are EPIC), Looxie, Clionadh, Sydney Grace... So many great companies to choose from. I so love Sugarpill’s bright mattes.. JDGlow Good Gawd is so aptly named. Lord have mercy.
I got the Looxi Butterfly Kisses collection on the 2nd restock and so far I am liking them. I have tried 2 Coloured Raine palettes they are definitely not my favorite formula the Power palette mattes were patchy and muddied together it helped to set my primer but the shimmers are beautiful! Tfs.

I order from Lethal and even though the shipping was PRICEY, the shadows were nice and they got to me super fast, like they got to me in the midwest in five days from GERMANY during the pandemic. Clionadh is notoriously slow, I ordered in January and they arrived in MAY. I love their matte formula, even though they are famed for their duochromes and multichromes. I've ordered from a ton of indie brands and it's just me, but when the pans come really empty, or are too messy or powdery I usually don't reorder. Sydney Grace, I think is the most consistent I've tried.
That JD glow shadow was everything. Already ordered.
I made my first purchase from Clionadh in the summer and your videos on your collection were so incredibly helpful in picking out which shades I wanted to try. Thank you Lauren! I finally got my order early November and I love them so much, it was absolutely worth the wait! I appreciated that Clionadh were up front about what to expect from the process, so the long wait didn't feel unreasonable. And they're always posting updates showing what they are working on, so you know they're acting in good faith. You were also totally right about the glitter multichromes, they are lovely!

I just ordered from Pretties For Your Face yesterday, I'm glad that I got Flare and Brocade! I didn't get Galaxy because I knew I wouldn't use a sparkly black, even Brocade will be on the deeper side for me, but it looks so beautiful 😍
I haven't tried Devinah personally, but I've heard they're also amazingly fast for shipping! I think they're closed to prep for Black Friday right now tho

I think the Coloured Raine foils were good when they came out, I liked them better than the Makeup Geek foils and they were cheaper 😅 But the trends have gone from foils to sparkle, and Coloured Raine haven't had a new single shadow formula to mimic that 😬

Devinah Xploders is one of my very favourite collections everrrr. They need a glitter glue, though. I generally like a darker / brighter colourful crease and a pastel lid, and they're everything I want!

Based on your preferences, I think you’d really like Terra Moons, particularly their shimmer formula. You can usually tell which finish these are in my experience because they are the $8 shadows vs the $6 shadows. They’re known for their chameleon shadows which are also great, but I also love their shimmer formula. I’d sort by best selling. I’ve found the top shades to be amazing if you are thinking of placing an order. I got Unexpected by JD Glow a while ago because of reactions like yours. And you are right about it. Stunning!
I know it’s hard but the best advice I can give is order and then forget about them. You have to get it the proper head space, and Try not to drive yourself crazy everyday looking for your tracking details. The only brand I can think of that took a long time to ship was Glaminatrix. Their turn around time is usually 2 months but because of covid it was like 4 I think. Let me stress it didn’t make them any less beautiful when I did get them and I would ABSOLUTELY still order again from them. Devinah, looxi, terra moons, Sydney grace and jd glow all shipped as they said they would and some actually the same week. Lethal being from Germany took a while to get to the states, but again not a problem for me. Also the customer service for each of these companies was great. They answered any questions I had about shades or different textures or shifts. I love everything I have and they all bring me way more joy than a palette ever has. No more palettes with 5 shades of brown I already have. It’s exciting and new every time I use them. 🥰🥰💕💕 I’m excited to see the new mattes from looxi look nice. I don’t have any of their mattes.

I love JDGlow but, as you mentioned, the difference in the finishes/textures of the Galaxy shadows is a little annoying. The shade Lavender in their Metallon line should be a Galaxy shadow so sparkly and beautiful!
I agree, my friend got some shadows from them and was also annoyed with the differences in all the Galaxy shadows. It’s definitely worth watching a few reviews or seeing swatches on their Instagram before choosing what to buy.

Unexpected is my favorite eyeshadow ever, too! Prismatic is the other JD Glow single I have, and I also have their liquid multichrome in See Weed, which is just spectacular. Definitely a favorite.
I had Ube and Painted Lady in my cart bc they were finally in stock and woke up to them being out of stock after this video LOL oh well. I'll have to grab them some other time, maybe with some mattes

I think you would absolutely love Fyrinnae if you tried them! Their arcane magic and exquisites collections are amazing! Their website photography is not great but I've never had a disappointing product from them 🖤
JD glow galaxy shadows are so. good. Everyone that loves sparkly shadows needs unexpected in their collection. Idc if you only like neutrals, brights, grunge etc. Just get unexpected lol. I do wish JD glow would further categorize their galaxy shadows by finish on their site cause there's some drastically different finishes within that line. I would actually consider coloured raine my favorite matte formula and they actually swatch very smoothly for me with the exception of ladyship which has a gritty texture. You are correct though that they are discontinuing their singles line completely and they supposedly will not be coming back at all, they just want to stick to palettes. I enjoy their metallics as well but they generally do not have that added sparkly finish that's more common now. If you like their singles though I'd recommend getting them now before they're allegedly gone for good.

I have a bunch of the JDG Galaxy shadows but I didn't have Unexpected. After this video I placed another order to grab it (and the awesome green one). I already know I love the shadows and I'm excited to finally have that shade! 💚
I love that Midas came out with 2 shadows from the SmokeyGlow palette, cuz one of them (Nutty) ive already hit pan in my palette, and the other one (Leno) ill hit pan next time I use it. So im so excited I can repurchase those 2 shades cuz I go through them so much faster than the rest of the palette

The looxi shadow monarch reminds me of Twinkle in the colourpop kathleen lights dream street palette. I’m most interested in those colorful mattes you got. I need a video recommending the best colorful mattes in colors like green and yellow 💕
Sydney Grace shimmers are my preference- smooth/metallic. The two Terramoon shimmers I have I love but they have sparkles which is not my preferred formula but I appreciate Terramoon fine fine sparkles. The only other indie brand I have (other than one palette from CPop) is glamlite icecream and I am impressed with the pastel pigment payoff it has on my tanned skin. Was so impressed with the two shimmers I have used so far -great shimmery payoff even with a fluffy natural squirrel brush (Chikuhodo GSN9) I was impressed. Not many shimmers in my collection behave so well with that brush (I was just playing around and being lazy with my brushes hence used the GSN9)

Love the eyeshadow singles content!!! Indie brands are SOOOO much fun, and mostly great quality.. depending. I prefer the edginess of indie sparkle shadows, and cool tones.. mmmmmm, great mattes too.. My favs are Give Me Glow, Devinah, JDGlow (the Galaxy shadows are EPIC), Looxie, Clionadh, Sydney Grace... So many great companies to choose from. I so love Sugarpill’s bright mattes.. JDGlow Good Gawd is so aptly named. Lord have mercy.
I got the Looxi Butterfly Kisses collection on the 2nd restock and so far I am liking them. I have tried 2 Coloured Raine palettes they are definitely not my favorite formula the Power palette mattes were patchy and muddied together it helped to set my primer but the shimmers are beautiful! Tfs.
