"Substantially different? " I'd say. I would like to try it, and one of these days will
Thanks, Quinton and Paul
Lovely on the eye, lovely on the knee!
Looks are outstanding. I love smaller body guitars and would love to own one. Thank you for another inspiring and informative video
A beautiful guitar,beautifully played.
I don’t know, I’ve never been a fan of that bridge style or the overall aesthetic of these style of Gibsons, but this one has a look and sound that is changing my mind!? Maybe I’m just getting old 😂 But great review as always guys!
Nah I agree. I usually hate it. But this one, idk. Something about it works
I normally prefer the sound of a larger guitar. This guitar sounds GREAT, probably the best smaller acoustic I've ever heard.
This is the guitar I’d use to make tunes for a Ken Burns documentary. The clarity and focus are engaging - gives me the feels and a nostalgic vibe. I’m not fond of that stain though. I’d rather see the natural woods, and some fossilized bone bridge pins.
Great looking guitar! It looks big for a parlor. Sounds good, too.
60fps whole new vibe to the videos!
Quinton, Paul just so you guys know, anytime I see a Gibson review on a new video thumbnail from you guys, I go cast it to my big screen in stereo so I can thoroughly enjoy! This video is no exception you guys were just clicking! Marvelous finger-picking there! I'm kind of wondering what the differences between the Gibson 200 parlor and J 185 would actually be(???)
I have a Gibson idea in my mind in the next time I am up in your part of Montana I am definitely stopping by to discuss it! Great video as always; thanks!
At the start of the video, I thought "Who rolled off all of the bass frequencies?". Then I listened all the way to the end. The bass is just balanced enough, but I prefer a much fuller bass response. I would love to play one of these to see how it feels in the hands.
Love that guitar!
My new dream guitar
I would love one
Ahhh...the NPR of guitar reviewers 😂 love it!
Despite the common consensus about the superior sound of flat finishes, not only is this "little" guitar a beaut, but sound is outstanding.
Very interesting
I remember these from years back, the one I saw was natural spruce top with a green or red stained maple back n sides and neck. It's was a long time ago. I didn't play it but I always stuck with me seeing such a cool guitar. I couldn't afford it nor can afford one of these new ones. Hell cool though the J-200 Parlor. But the one I saw had ebony wood though. This one looks like rosewood which I prefer. And that transparent black color looks a bit purple as Quintin said. Almost like those Paul Alender PRS guitars. Come to mention it there was a Limited edition Bats in Flight acoustic Dove that looked like it was inspired by his guitars. It was almost this translucent color similar to this Gibby but I had Richlite, hell no for me.
Hi guys, great review thanks for this. What a beautiful guitar. Do you know if there is an Epiphone version of this?
This is the most beautiful guitar you have ever had on here. Out of my budget for sure….I do love my Guild M-20 though.
That's more of an L-200 size which was for the Emmylou Harris model and only cost $2,899 when it was originally made about 12 years ago...
Black guitars always sound best
Can't figure out the sound - at times it sounds awesome, but also sounds tinny, but not really... I dunno. How's that for a rotten comment lol
Hello, where can I see and may be buy this gibson?
I really want one, I can’t seem to find a parlor in stock anywhere
We have more coming this year.... send me an email if interested in getting on the list. chad@musicvilla.com
Replete with tone killer pick guard.
5 grand???? 5 grand!!!!!! a bargain!!! ill take 5!!!!
parlor guitar?
What’s the price tag
5k 😳, that’s almost the price of the j-200.
So are we starting a GoFundMe to get him the Porsche?
Does anyone know the price of the guitar, where can I quote it?
Send me a message.... Would be happy to discuss. chad@musicvilla.com
Nice guitar but 5279? C'mon...
The Porsche will break.
For a 5k guitar, I would hope it wouldn't sound plastic.
Better check the bridge pins then, Gibson do (or at least did!) put plastic pins on their J200's.
Still a must-have guitar tho!
@@maxwellfan55 gonna pass on this one. I'm a LP lover/owner, but not a fan of the flat tops. Prefer a much warmer sound either way, but this one sounds even more bright than most Gibson's to me. Why are they using plastic bridge pin in a premium guitar?
@@WesHerndonYeah I agree. Unacceptable
If gibson put as much overkill in sonics, and quality as much as they did bling a bing a bling a bing a bing . They might do better buisness.
Sort of silly.
No.
