I would like to see a Murphy bed for a bit more room. I’m talking about a well designed - NO BENDY MATTRESS - full queen Murphy bed.

Okay, Maynard needs to invent solar panels that track the sun across the sky, so they capture maximum solar energy. THEN we could (theoretically) stay off grid forever, right? :)

Possibly. You could go off forever as is depending on what you are using (no A/C). 😀 If you want to run the A/C all the time no amount of solar would fit on this roof. You would need a bigger roof. 😀

Could igt be pulled by a Tundra or would. you need to upgrade to a Ford 250? Not anticipating any hard core off roading

I’d pull it with the F250, the tongue weight on the 16.4 already is about 700lbs already. This one is probably close to 1k if not more…
Big Truck Big RV has a full video on this beast being pulled by his GMC 1500 with the diesel. He’s experienced and it was shaky he said. (Not his exact words)
I personally love the 16.4 and I have a Land Cruiser 200. I would be pushing the Land Cruiser to its limits, plus the wear and tear on my truck, I rather not.
I used to be a tow truck operator, and I know the feeling of towing another vehicle that is at my tow truck’s limits, it’s not a good feeling. Just my opinion, stay safe and safe travels buddy!
Oh BTW, they have a video on an excursion with the “ROAMERS”. There is a Tundra pulling this, I believe, it looking as if it was kind of struggling.

No way would you want to pull this with a 1/2 ton pickup. While we don't know the exact tongue weight, it looks to be over 1k easily AND with a short tongue onl the trailer. You'd be over your 'payload' on the 1/2 ton with anything in the bed and people in the cab. Go with a 3/4 ton and you'll be good to go.

We would absolutely recommend towing with a 3/4 at least! :)

The weight of these campers are elephant in the room , it needs to be addressed. Find a way to knock off 1000 - 1200lbs. And the black finish on a composite panel? Could lead to delamination down the track. At its price piont there needs to be factory options, not a dealer charging extra for a toilet swap. All in all its and pressive unit, though with some refinement, which is only gained with time/experince, it could be a serious off road caravan.

The Pause is a great rig. I do love the 3000 watt inverter. What I do not care for is the amount of not essential electronics. The more electronic bells and whistles means more things to break and spoil a trip. I just had my Truma Combi plus in my X195 die. Now I have to wait 4 weeks for the replacement parts and shop time before I can get out and camp again. The support people at Truma are great but shops are busy and Truma will not let me install the parts. Each to their own. For me the X 195 with upgraded 3000 watt inverter.

I’m interested in what happened to your Truma. Got any more details? Any warning signs that it was having issues? Obviously it didn’t have many hours on it, how was the warranty handled?

@@kellycromwell4982 The error code was E 6 H. When I called Truma service and gave them the code they said a circuit board and fan was out. The part numbers you are looking for are: 34020-00058 12-Volt Control Board (Comfort Plus) 34020-00078 Combustion Air Motor Assembly. I purchased the trailer in May of 2023 so it has gotten some use. Truma support was excellent, The delay is getting my local RV Service Center to install the parts. It is under warrantee and work must be done by a shop that is certified by Truma.
