I was curious now that about a year has past since you started this video series, if you have used more JMRI features to automate this small layout? Also, I heard you use Digitrax for your main layout. I think it would be an interesting video to convert this 4' layout to Digikeijs DR5000 (LocoNet compatible) and take full advantage of the RailCom feature in your ESU based locomotives. The Lenz RailCom display would also be an interesting addition to your portable demonstration layout.
My understanding is that the Railcom being enabled in the ESU decoders interferes with the Digitrax based "Transponding" technology in the Digitrax command stations/boosters.
Thanks, Chuck. I haven't gotten to the point of getting more automation on my small test layout yet, life is crazy busy right now. I will look into the Digikeijs DR5000, I don't know much about it but I am curious about looking some stuff up!
