Which of these items surprised you the most? Comment below!! 💚
The small waterproof bag! Makes me want to go to Ikea right now and get one :)
Stainless bowls are a 10/10. Storage bins and storage bags are a close second.
The cloths/dustpan/cutting board I'd skip on for Ikea and just grab at the dollar store.
Honestly, bringing rags and cloths are something I tend to forget a lot, but buying a stash to keep in my camping gear is a great idea! Also, as a Canadian, the moose pasta is just adorable! haha Love your videos :)
The collapsible bowl to use for washing.
Loved the shoe bag for muddy boots!
As a vanlifer I've become a big fan of soft containers - bags, sacks, duffles, etc. With rigid containers you usually have wasted precious space containing nothing but air. Soft containers collapse down with no wasted space and can conform to fit into oddly shaped spaces. So two thumbs up for the soft containers you featured.
The big blue Ikea shopping bag rocks for carrying firewood from the woodpile back to your camp spot
That’s genius
I love that camping is about being resourceful. An item doesn't need to be "for camping" to be an awesome find.
Of course, but this video is about awesome finds that can be used for camping
Exactly 💚💚💚 multipurpose, multiuse, everything
Ikea's kids section used to have a play cook set complete with a pot, pan, wok, spatula, wisk, and spoon that could be nesseled together into a pretty compact set. They work well over a butane burner and are perfectly sized for single-person setting.
And since it’s stainless steel they are pretty indestructible!
Duktig play cookware.
Smart!!
They still do…
I have this set...just for camping😊
Great idea, except when I checked the ikea site, it says it’s not suitable for actual cooking. No idea why not, but it might be something to keep in mind.
Thank you for making a point for not being sponsored on this video. I’m tired of CZcams “advertisements” that are disguised as interest focused videos. I never camp without a small broom and dust pan for cleaning out my tent.
Don’t forget the pet section (if there is one at IKEA). Reusable doggie piddle pads are great to use inside the tent to trap any residual dirt/water and are easy to wash.
Mate you missed the #1 best Ikea product (IMO) for camping, even though it's in the video at 7:30: the classic Ikea blue bag. They're PERFECT for bringing wood: large, durable, light, and with a double handle system whereby you thread the long handle through the opposite side short handle which pulls the mouth closed and stabilises it for carrying.
I would argue that if one can choose any item from Ikea - blue bag would be it. But not just any blue bag, the Ikea Frakta storage bag, which can be used on the Frakta trolley: it has handles to be a bag but you can also wear it as a backpack. And it's perfect size for your backpack to be packed in if you're flying without worrying that something will catch on conveyor belts at the airport.
@@stajp67 please post pictures of these fantastical and wild claims
Ikea's cutlery drain makes an awesome hobo stove/mini fire pit !
We were at our local Ikea in UK and spotted a larger sized one, obviously I got one and a trivet I might use for standing a pot on top rather than the tent pegs ideas. Can't wait to try it!
Tip for your stainless steel or other bowls: Use coffee filters in between them to prevent scratching in transit. The coffee filters can be used for many other purposes and in an emergency, They are a terrific initial filtration system to obtain potable water 😉
Good idea :)
I use those little shoe bags for EVERYTHING. I have to one keep all of my random bungee cords in, one with All my good tent spikes etc. I love the big bag with the handles. I keep my tarps and moving blanket in one and my blankets/sleeping bags in another. They make it so easy to organize. And side note the flat bag with orange liner is perfect fit for wreaths. I store my different season door wreaths in them. Thanks for the recipe!
I appreciate a good storage tip!
😊
I am a total IKEA fan! One thing I do is purchase some of their inexpensive rugs for my tent. The rugs catch the dirt and when finished they are easy to shake out and put in the washing machine!
I had no idea IKEA made waterproof bags!! I feel like a test is in order 🤔 also - fully agree, their dish towels are amazing for camping
I've had the bigger version of the waterproof bag for 3 years now, I use it to store my wet gear after swimming. It holds water in pretty well (starts leaking a bit after 2 days but I shouuuld take my stuff out after practice anyway) and doesn't have this wet feeling you often get with the lightweight ones. I haven't fully submerged it though, so I can't say how well it keeps water out, but it definitely works when kayaking or SUPing.
Their bags are great!
The Frakta, the biggest Ikea bag can also be worn as a backpack
The waterproof roll top bag is super, we use it for the swimming suits, and my son uses it to store electronic devices during hiking.
We had to make an Ikea run because of this video. Not complaining, just letting you know. Thank you!
😂
I live for all things organization and camping so this video is perfect! Storage bins, packing cubes, and stackable bowls are a must!
My husband and I are big campers and this video coming out fresh off a trip is getting us excited to visit Ikea! Thanks so much for sharing such great content🙃
I’ve been needing to replace our stainless steel bowls for awhile! Great find!
The bowls are one of my favorite finds on this list! Hope you had an awesome camping trip! 🤗
Great information! Love the deep stainless bowls, clips, bins, packing cubes. What fun to find camping items where you would not expect. More of this content please! its great info, thanks
The clips you can use to hold a tarp to a paradord line, so it don’t blow away. 😊
I loved this video! And thanks for giving ideas on some uses for these items.
Made a trip to IKEA (in the UK) after watching this video. I didn’t have high hopes for finding many of the items you’ve mentioned in it , but actually managed to find 80% of the items and purchased around half of them ahead of an up and coming camping trip! Thank you for sharing items that are actually practical/necessary and that are readily available for most of your viewers ❤
Just came across this video and was wondering whether IKEA UK stock these, your comment answered my question, looks like a trip to IKEA for me tomorrow 🤣🤣
I dont enjoy camping as much as others, but for some reason I'm drawn to your videos. And the more i watch your videos the more i want to give camping another shot. This video is one of my favorites! Thanks for posting!
Go for it! 🏕
I use IKEA cushion covers as packing cubes, they work suprisingly well for longer trips 😂 🙌
My friend is a: “cannot be bothered to TikTok”, “Van Life” camper. She uses pillowcases for storage whenever she can. Seasonal clothes storage = “couch pillows”. Extra linens? … ditto.😂
I have those clear bags with the orange zippers. I use the shoe one for muddy boots and wet flip flops. The bigger one for pillows and blankets. Will look for the packing cubes and plastic food storage bags next time I go! Great video!!!
I love the Parkla storage bags with the orange zipper. In my camper van I store blankets and sheets in one. Two full size pillows fit perfectly in another.
I need to get over to IKEA! Thank you for pointing out things that we might overlook otherwise. Love your product videos!
Fantastic video idea! This kind of content is so great for helping keep camping accessible-- not everybody lives within driving distance of an REI, so reminders about where else to pick up gear, especially cheaply, can be so helpful. Would love to see a "buy this, skip that" camping edition at a place like Dollar Tree. Metal tongs for the fire-- yes! Caribeaners and "rope" from there-- not safe!
Such great ideas! I didn’t even know they had a majority of what you showed!
Just discovered your channel! It’s awesome 🎉 thanks for the tips !
These are some great ideas. Thanks
What a great video! Love your channel! Thank you so much!!!! 😊 Also just went camping and the storage bags would have been so helpful!
You're so welcome! Glad you liked this video! 😁
I use those bags for storage under my bed as well they are wonderful!
The prices are good for these invaluable items! Thank you for sharing! I especially love the metal stacking bowls, excellent for meals!
The bowls are awesome. Definitely one of my favorite things on this list!
The 34oz food containers with the clipable lids also come in stainless, great for packing salads - and they're stackable as well :) The kids section also has cheap reusable plastic bowls and plates
GREAT finds, thanks!
Great ideas! Thanks!
Great video! I love the shoe zippered bag! That alone will make an IKEA trip worth it! Also love the packing cubes and stainless steel bowls.
Thanks for sharing the tips!
Thanks for your content!
Awesome, great ideas.
Very nice and practical information ❤❤
You just helped me so much with that Silicone Collapsible Wash Basin! I recently purchased a clear Acrylic one (not collapsible) because many collapsible ones have a sink drain hole in them and I didn't need that added feature. The Silicone one you featured 🙌 👏 😍 will be PERFECT and NO hole! BTW, $17.00 plus change and tax is what I shelled out for the ok Acrylic one so YES love your find so much better! Thanks 😊.
Great ideas, heading to ikea today ❤
I don't live near an Ikea but I'm heading out on a multi-week road trip and will pass through a few cities. Definitely going to stop into an Ikea along my route and pick up some of these items. Thanks for the tips!
Putting packing cubes and shoe bags on my IKEA shopping list!
Love your channel!! ❤
Great ideas, thank you 😊
Thanks for the tip reminders
Thanks for sharing this, great ideas😊
Some great finds, thanks!!
I had one of the huge plastic storage bags from ages ago in our basement and randomly grabbed it before our camping trip last summer. Worked great for our bedding and beach towels. I also love swedish dish towels for camping, the ones that are like a hard material until they get wet.
Another easy organizer IKEA item are the big blue bags… Easy to carry!
Dang it! That's just what I was going to suggest.
A few years back, I saw a bunch of them with a Christmas theme. It was after Christmas, so I bought them at a great discount.
That was great info! Thanks!!
Some great ideas! Thanks
Great video!
Great video and ideas from IKEA! Thank you Amanda! I'm off to IKEA.x
Love this video. I don’t go to IKEA often and a couple of these items are exactly what I spent today trying to find. Packing cubes and the shoe bag are winners for me. a Guess where Im going tomorrow? 😂🤣😁
Thank you great ideas.
OMG! I wrote down so many of those to go get!
BEAUTIFUL
Love the storage bags. Gotta get some of those for sure.
@@Txtme4 I know this is not Amanda. Get your trolling ass out of here. We are on to you.
Thank you 🙏🏽 for the great idea 😊
Cool ideas! Thanks.
Amazing video! I had no idea IKEA had that stuff.
This was a very helpful. Thank you😀
@@Txtme4 Have I now?🫤
Love this video! Thanks. I use the large storage bags for camping as well. A question about the stainless steel bowl: does it get hot in your hands when serving hot dishes?
Thanks For The Awesome Videos.
✌️🖖
Those clips are awesome. I bought some a few weeks ago and used them for my tablecloth and to hang things off my tent to dry.
Nice finds! And wow, I get very bored by pasta but mixing it with sausage (vegan or non) + pesto sounds delicious! And easy!
Hearing her talk about the chicken was such a huge turn off. I can't believe it's 2023 and people who shop at supermarkets are still eating dead animals. I was going to share this video but I can't share it in good conscience.
@@AdelineCowgirl - Yes, dead animals are being consumed all over the world. Animals eat other animals. People eat animals, and have since God created the world and everything and everyone.
All great ideas. A lot of these are great for traveling in general. Things can move around in your luggage or backpack,my favorite is the pack of organizer bags for clothes, electronics. Thanks!
Thank you 😊
I never thought of using those bags to organise clothes. I'm going to get some. Thanks
Thanks for the ideas! I prefer shopping on Amazon. I have lots of camping items, but azengear toothpick was a real find for me. It is a multi tool which I use not only for cleaning my teeth but also as a fork 😅
Thanks for taking us shopping at Ikea with you. It was fun!
They have some thin grey simple plastic trays (around $2) that are great to keep in a car or camper to put your food on your lap while you’re eating
You’re in my hometown! I’ve been to that ikea.
Super enjoyable to watch! I think those clear bags would be a great way for me to utilize the space under the seats in my micro camper van 😊.
Thanks for sharing I work at IKEA so love your video and also would like to get into camping. Thanks for sharing - new subscriber today
A good idea and since I live in Sweden I can get it here❣️
Holy Moly! Why didn't I think of Ikea! Thank you:) I thank you andy messy van thanks you!
And just when I thought I had everything I needed, lol! Trip to Ikea to get some of theses things especially the bags.
Great video! 🙌👏🌷
Awesome! Im surprised by the low prices! 👍😎🇨🇦
It might be a random video but I really enjoyed it.
I stopped at Ikea before going on a 4 week trek on the Via Francigena in May. I used the Rensare dry bag and packing cubes and they were perfect. At a fraction of the cost of similar functioning items they were ultra light and kept my pack well organized. Also, I had to check my backpack on the flight over and was able to find a ultralight weight zipper bag that easily fit my backpack and trekking poles. When I got to my destination it was light enough that I could fold it and stick it in the bottom of my pack with very little increase in weight.
Thank you so much for your comment. I was wondering where I would find a bag big enough for exactly the same purpose.
I use the white and black bag for storing the duvet we use in the van but you need to be careful since I did split the seam with one duvet (too thick). Speaking of which - I also purchased the duvet and cover from IKEA. Great place for camping gear and lasts longer than buying items from a dollar store. I also use the packing cubes which are perfect sizes for weekend trips. There's also some poly bags with drawstrings that I use for dirty clothes. Great video and would love to see a few more like this.
It was very enjoyable to watch. IKEA is a great place to get just about anything, and I never thought of checking there for camping items. My favorite item are the packing cubes. I haven't purchased any yet, and IKEA's prices would make it easier for me to get some to try them without investing too much. Thanks!
Thank you with Greats from Germany!
I took an old "Scouts" camping oven iny last trip. Whe had a four hour roasted Beef dinner with roast potatoes and steamed veg. Camping life changing haha.
Great video 😊
That is nuts!
I use the shoe bags for storing dirty laundry when car camping - and of course for muddy boots. They're also really cheap (0,5 € per piece last year, directly grabbed 6 of them)
They also have ziploc bags in every possible size (the kind without the "zipper" thingy), great value for preportioning meals on longer treks.
Great video!!! Always thumbs up from the 641...
thanks ikea and thank you for sharing...
The zip bags you showed the blankets in are a great idea. Actually IKEA is almost THE place for people who are building out a bus to live in. I watch that type of video all the time and constantly hear IKEA or ReStore mentioned. Thanks for the video. There were some really great items to think about.
Thanks
Great ideas! Loved the one about keeping your bedding clean and together in the oversize bags.
I love this so much I’m a baby camper and was already overwhelmed by organization. Thank you ❤
Was nice to see an Ikea ... We don't have one in our town ..but really like a few things you showed .. sad cause not having an Ikea I would never be able to have them items ...
Are you in the U.S.? Any time you take a trip somewhere, check Google (or IKEA site) to see if there is one where you're going. OR - plan a vacation or short getaway with an IKEA as your destination!
I would be interested if you could do camping/ road trip meals with a heated lunch box. I’ve seen heated lunch boxes but I’m limited on what meals to make. Would like to see more meal ideas. Also other car charging devices: heated water kettle, heated lunch box, micro crock pot…etc. Great video, I’m heading to ikea and have a look at the items you mentioned for my next camping trips.
I bought a couple different types of those heated lunch boxes on Amazon about a year ago, before prices went sky-high. Haven't used them yet, but I think I'll keep one stashed in my car with my "emergency" sleeping bag, blanket, first aid kit, etc.
The TÄRNÖ Table and chairs would be great for camping too.
Fantastic! We love car camping and we love Ikea. We are usually 2 or 3 adults plus 2 kids in a Subaru Impreza, so organization is key for us.
Nick and I don’t have kids yet, but I can only imagine that when we do, organization will be even more important for us!!
Nice finds at IKEA 👍
@Txtme4 what did I win?
Welp, time to go to IKEA this weekend!
FYI, those clips are awesome at holding a tablecloth on a picnic table. Just clip them on the ends and then you don't have to worry about having to keep heavy stuff on the table in windy weather.
Where did you get the sporks? Love them! Maybe ikea if i keep watching lol
