Installing An Awning (Without Roof Racks) - EP4 Van Build

In this video we install the awning on our Mercedes Sprinter as part of our camper van conversion. We've opted for a 4WD style awning and we are mounting the awning directly to the roof using custom brackets. This is a great option if you don't have roof racks or the space on the roof for a wind out style awning.

I did similar mounting with two awnings either side, same as this van with dual sliders, But I used Aluminium for brackets as Im paranoid about rust later on, also mounted the awnings further forward to shelter the Passenger and drivers doors. soon to be starting van 2.0, looking to get larger single wind out awning to see if any better. Well done keep up the good work 🙂

Enjoy the second van build! A wind out awning would be nice, but comes with a much steeper price. We actually found we hardly use the awning because we’re moving so much
