@yesn't yes, you're very much right, with a strong point. But i think, they were focused on the lgbt part. Since, they showed about the basic "old-fashioned" mentality about looks and stuff as hia lian said. Anyways, overall still its great, there can be minor shortcomings in the script
@yesn't It’s honestly nothing to do with ‘race’. East Asia has historically been a fairly homogeneous population. In East Asian culture fair skin was and is still traditionally regarded a beauty standard (especially for women). This stems from the fact that having fair skin means little to no exposure to the sun, i.e. that person didn’t have to work out in the sun to maintain their livelihood = they come from a good background. Even though it may be untrue in modern times, traditional ideologies are very stable and hard to change.
It’s similar to how having white teeth is seen as a indicator for health etc.
That’s also why nobody in Eastasia would suggest darkening their skin in a public manner, similarly to how nobody would think of colouring their teeth black permanently. There might be some who go against the mainstream ideals but they’re the minority by definition.

I already love this series so much. Lian’s statement of trans women only being used as comedic relief in dramas at 7:39 is so true and incredibly annoying. Just when you think the world has progressed, you see immature writers write trans characters for strictly comedic purposes only. I’m waiting to see the day that a thai drama is produced where a trans man / woman is the protagonist or a love interest.
"3 will be free" has Jennie Panhan as a prominent trans character. She's not a comedic character and guys trying to bully her get their asses kicked by her boyfriend.

No, the lgbt are separated from the seme and uke. Notice how the parents didnt check to see which way the kids will swing. in the bl universe the men are either seme or uke. Some fujoshis add the lgbt for inclusivity but manner of death left them out completely. Notice when Zee speaks about the lgbt he doesnt say ''my people''.

So, basically it was mentioned in ep 9 that Lian worked very hard to be good enough for Keau. He didn't want Keau to be embarrassed because he has a ice delivery boy as fiance. It means that Lian is insecure. He used to think he doesn't deserve Keau. Lian also said on ep 9 that when they started to live together he couldn't resist Keau. At first I didn't take it seriously but I think it's the reason. On Cutie pie's ep 1 reaction ZeeNunew also said that Lian has a felling of longing. He is older so he has this feeling more than Keau. Lian said on ep 9 that he loved Keau since he saw him for the 1st time & Lian was 6 years old at that time & his family wasn't financially stable. So, I think it's because of his insecurities. Anyways, I hope it helped you to understand everything better.

"It's too cliché now to have LGBTQ characters that only portray the comedic side of the story". That made me so happy. It's like the team behind this production are acknowledging that most of the time when we get trans and visibly queer characters in BL series, their only role is as comic relief. That is slowly starting to change, but I'm so glad they brought it up.

one word to describe this series "perfection". the actors are top tier they all have chemistry with each other. I have high respect for the production they never fail me, from the start to end it's perfect. NEVER had a second of disappointment, every scene is entertaining.

We all appreciate Nunew for his cuteness but can we talk about Zee? Again, I'll never get tired of saying that Zee looks so expensive in this series. His vibe, the way he looks, his aura, the way he walks, his voice tone, all are very on point, those I've never seen from him before. It is like he studied for weeks to perfect the role. He really puts his dedication in everything he does. I already miss his rugged image.

This series is so good so far. Handsome casts, acting seems to be much better than in the trailer too. Also, Kuea is one with backbone. I love him. Finally BL show with Engineering students who actually do Engineering works 😝 I wish Kuea would just show himself as he is to his fiance. Who knows, he might even like that version of him better.

I can feel very intensely that the series will make people forget the other recently hyped series. This is like a masterpiece, a plot that was never seen yet in any BL.The character development of both Lian and Nuea while they are melting into their respective characters will be very exciting. The budget that was given to this project screams sophistication.
I think this year's star is def gonna be semantic error lol İts so popular and an amazing series but as of thai bl you might be right we'll see ✨

@@N02cik if semantic error was longer, it would the best but it's only 8 eps with 20 minute which is equivalent to almost 4 eps for thai series of 1 hour. It's a shame cuz the storyline is great so I feel cutie pie will take the cake with its plot and production.

Poppy's character, Foei is so funny. So far his screen time isn't really long, but he definitely left me an impression, and everytime I see him, he makes my stomach hurt from laughing too hard
His screen-time may be short but he makes full use of it and thus it's really impactful. The little stumble before entering the bar. That was so good! Such small details but dds so much to the character.

Also I can't deny that Zee Pruk entered this world of Thai series and I don't regret it.
One of the best dramas ever with amazing realistic intense passionate kiss ever. The leads' chemistry is super duper great. Hoping for season 2, or a new project with them both as the leads.

2nd time watching and just realized when Foei said "Why can't he just use his words?" when Hia Lian was gesturing for him to leave actually is an introduction to his character - someone who doesn't speak his mind a lot, like even in his own relationships, especially with NuKuea, because he's the type of person who does more action than speak about them. It's why later when we see them confessing to each other, he told NuKuea "I don't want to say it carelessly. 11:43 made me pause, squeal, and bury my head in my pillow. The little shrug and little smirk says SO MUCH about his character and it's acted and portrayed SO WELL. He's a sweet cocky badass and he doesn't care about breaking the drumstick bc it means he gave a badass performance. And his nonchalantness and like...emotionality made me scream. I'm not going to survive this series. The acting is so good! Those subtle movements and facial expressions say a lot and they are done so well!
I just loved this strt and the way they just bought the topic of trans characters being always portrayed as just some comic models and they're really trying their best to make them to shine like others. ⭐✨ and our kuea is just not a cutie pie, he is a singer, racer, mechanic, drummer! Man! So talented. What i believe is that hi lian actually love someone smart like him, not that perfect nu kuea.
