Hand me the tissues, this story was not only beautifully told, but landed with heavy heart. Today I ordered a Lancaster watch, and couldn’t be more proud of my purchase, these gentlemen are exactly that.
Jeez Oisin. I knew what was up when the guy didn't respond to his new watch being finished. The tears flowed and took me back to my loss a few years back. Well done on a great piece. These chaps deserve a boost from the watch community.
Well said.
Most excellent video....one small point .Not slip turn indicator STI...as that is sexually transmitted infection) ..it's turn and slip indicator (TSI)...just saying....
Hells bells! In tears at the end. Andrew and Graham are the nicest guys you could meet, so genuine and humble! Anyone who has the chance, get down and visit them, and if you are fortunate enough to, buy a watch, they are stunning!
On a day when one CZcamsr is trying to hype the grey market with the apparent demise of another Rolex (Batman) this amazing video shows what owning a watch is all about.
Oisin has done it again and with a true watch brand with a real story. Thank you and I like many others I’m sure was moved to tears at then.
This IS the genuine watch community
Thank you
I think it’s still the 2022 2023 catalogue when you read is closely , they just don’t have the space to physically to show each variant
Really really nice. That’s all that needs to be said. Nothing more nothing less.
Time is short. Never a truer word spoken.
For the love of god I wasn't anticipating shedding a tear over a watch video, but that story hit me pretty good. I am so proud to support these guys... I just received my DB-2 Lancaster about a month ago and I absolutely love it. The compliments I receive when I wear it is always nice but the best part is I get to tell the story behind the watch and the brand which makes it even more special. Graham and Andrew well done for finding each other and following your dreams!!! I Look forward to see what the future brings
Oisin, what can I say... Your first video on the DB-2 was what put the hook in me regarding Zero West and this video just reinforces all the more that I make the right choice.. Excellent work!!!
I have always, regrettably skipped this one. Just watched for the first time. Brilliant. Thank you.
It's utterly heartwarming to see what a small brand can achieve when they obviously care as much about the provenance of their watches as they do about the customers that buy them. They deserve every success.
What a great story....thank you for sharing this.
Some day, maybe soon, we should see Oisin getting his Academy Award for directing. I couldn’t care less about such awards or the shows where they present them, but you sir, are as good as any film maker ever. Thank you.
What an incredible story.
Tear in my eye and lump in the throat on my commute to work this morning.
I was recently given a DB1 as a gift from my oldest friend who knew I loved the zero west brand…he also got one himself ,the deal was I order two leather straps and we both head to the showroom and have them fitted(not a bad deal)!…we spent over an hour with graham drinking a beer talking watches and history on a glass table with a spitfire engine encased below😂.The straps are absolutely beautiful with WW2 canvas inserted and amazingly from grahams grandfathers gas mask.Thankyou to graham and the zero team for a fantastic memorable experience.
I’d also just like to say that I would never have know about this brand if it wasn’t for the the fantastic content Oisin has produce about the DB1 and all the other great time piece’s zero west have produced!.
Oisin …this video is absolute perfection…..as I find my way through your content, I had watched the previous Zero West videos, but this one escaped me until today. Brought tears to my eyes as it did for many. Your talent on so many levels is astounding. The music, the scenery, the history….the video graphic mastery is captivating in all your work. Thank You!! ….for what you have done for the Zero West team. You have definitely put them on the map. Well done Sir.
Not a dry eye after watching this video. Reminded me of life’s fragility, in the same way that we cannot bring back the time that has lapsed. Timepieces remind us of time - and with one watch or some, memories.
Someone once said, life is what happens when you make plan’s. Thanks for this lovely back story and bringing the passion for the craft of these two gentlemen.
Such a moving story of the gentleman who, lost his wife, unfortunately I started his journey recently and coincidentally ordered my first Zero West watch today. Comforting to know we are not alone. I can feel this will be a new group I will cherish.
To think you can either have Paul Thorpe walking round Brighton lying while trying on cheap suits that don’t fit or you can have quality videos like this. Absolutely no contest. Great video great channel
Absolutely! I truly believe he copies others and his latest video was a "poor mans Oisin".
I bought the H1 after watching your fantastic video, and just recently, my friend, who’s grandfather worked on Lancasters during the war, bought a DB1 after I explained to him what Zero west was all about and showed him my H1; it was his first , and he assures me, his last expensive watch. But it means so much to him because of his grandfathers link to the Lancaster.
My uncle flew Lancasters but was lost over Germany. His brother, a Catalina Pilot, ditched and lost his right arm, my father was badly burned but came back in one piece.
My grand parents never talked about the war, or “celebrated “ armistice day.
Oisin,
Always at the best, best sense of story telling, your sense of capturing the moment of a place, light, birds, water, visage, silence.
Émotional piece of art.
The story of a watch, people around, the brand, so great.
The important think is not the watch, but the story you live around, that make everyone unique with a unique watch.
Cheers, I will have a beer at O’Malley Irish pub in the port of marseille and share moments to remember that live is short.
I'm BLOWN away, and can't imagine this video being any better than it is. Bravo Oisín! I'm off to watch it again...
Great 👍 video thanks guys, still loving the brand. Buy what you like folks and enjoy what buy.
Another stunning video. Thanks to the Zero West guys for allowing an insight into their watch making journey. 👍🏻
Very powerful, Oisin. They picked the right man, to tell the story. Cheers....
That is a very special video indeed despite what has gone on in the past with ratzo you my sir have a very special talent
Oisin! You put so much feeling and emotion into that video it is unreal.
The story of the guy who wouldn't answer his calls was incredibly powerful and on point!
Well done yet again on another masterpiece.
Oisin, Amazing story and video thanks for sharing
Wow, another great true story, portrayed by a Master. You really showed us the Heart and Soul of Zero West. I love what they do. Thanks Oisin.
What a beautiful video
I own an S4 Blackout. Thanks to yr original vid on ZW Oisin! I didn't like the all silver chapter ring on this (yr point on the depth of the dial was very valid). Yet these guys at Zero West replaced it no charge with a black chapter ring. This is now the most awesome watch in my collection. These guys go above and beyond. They are the best! Cheers W
Quite simply the best Watch related You-Tube Channel there is. The videos you produce and such high quality. Thank you.
When amazing skill and talent at this level meets passion and enthusiasm, it rarely fails to excite and deliver. This is a class act and deserves success. Beautiful products and story 👏. A watch sometimes isn’t just a watch
Simply amazing and beautifully put together Oisin 👏👏
A unique watchmaker, with a remarkable range of watches and a truly moving story, warrants someone who can tell that story in a way that does it justice. Bloody well done, Oisin - every single box well and truly ticked 👍
Throughly enjoyable video. You captured the passion these gentlemen have that gave life to Zero West. I've got too many watches but this video is making me seriously consider adding one of their pieces to my collection.
Oh my days, when that story of the customer who had lost his wife came out, proper choked up. Great video for a fascinating brand and the team behind it 👍
Great video. Having dealt with Andrew at Zero West and purchased from them I can fully endorse their services. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but the history and supporting information that comes with the watches is what appeals to me.
"I'd put a letter down his letterbox to tell his watch is ready." How do you treat a client? That's how! Eat that major watch brands. Andrew you are gold!!!
Thank you Oisin,Este es uno de tus mejores Vídeos, Muchas Gracias 🙏
To steal a phrase from my favorite automobile manufacturer... The Timeless Watch Channel, there is no substitute.
This is the kind of stuff I came to your channel for. 👍
Spent 28 years in the USAF happy to hear these guys have a tie to the military.
What a story , and fantastic video . I’m a big zerowest fan and owner of 3 watches , great company run by 2 top notch blokes , waiting to see what comes next 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a great production yet again Oisin, shed a tear with the story of the gent picking up his new watch! Bravo 🎉 this kinda content is why I’m a patreon
Sometimes an interviewer knows there's nothing more they can add to a story, so they stay silent and let the subject speak for themselves. Thanks Oisin. Time is short.
Genius
It's always the little touches that make your videos so utterly brilliant, mate. Overlaying a hero element from one clip onto another scene 5 minutes later. The perfectly matched music. Capturing the beauty in the minute detail of a lingering shot whilst letting the storyline breathe. I absolutely love it. Well done, Oisín, and thank you! This is exactly why I'm a Patreon supporter.
Thanks for supporting the channel, man. Means a lot.
Fantastic video 👍
Great video. I met Andrew at one of the LWS and he was very passionate about the watches and history they are linked with. Solid built and some cool designs. Good to see the watch world can include such micro brands which are a refreshing diversion from the same old scene.
Absolutely buiterfully made, captured me from start to finish.
Zerowest, excellent watches with fantastic customer service
Beautiful statements
Wow, now if that story didn't convince me to buy this watch, absolutely awesome
Thanks for posting this.
Wow, another fabulous video. Truly a level above the usual CZcams fodder, well done Oisin.
Lovely video Oisin. I own one of these watches and have to say , the straps are the most comfortable out there . I’ve met Andrew a couple of times , a nice fellow , never knew the story about the guy who lost his wife and actually got a bit choked up at the end there . We would never meet in real time but I guess the connection we all have is the love for watches .
Wow. Amazing.
Superb
How fantastic is this video time is short we are all just passing through this life brilliant work 👏
Once again sir you have surpassed yourself, another Oisin masterpiece
I hope the Guys at zero west appreciate this wonderful story of their company, captured in this video, it encapsulates everything about how zero west began. A time capsule for their future.
We do indeed... a fantastic piece of work
This totally encompasses what these guys are about. Masterclass for putting that together. Lucky enough to of bought an s4 blackout from after my grandfather passed away, he got me into Spitfires, serial number 91, his age, from Emsworth couldn’t be more of a tribute. Great work all of you 👍
This is a great profile of the brand and the people behind it - great to hear people talking so honestly and passionately. Well done.
It's 18min long and was posted 10mins ago. How you watched it already 😂
At 2x playback speed it would be 9 minutes long.
@@lyness1217 I happened to notice the video before the notification by several mins - I commented around the 14m mark if memory serves, and by then I had a good idea of what I was watching. Hope this clears it up for you.
@@progressive.overload absolutely clears that up. Just trying to keep life free of fibbers.
This exchange really is the best of British.
Almost had me in tears
Awesome production and such moving stories
I had the pleasure of going to the Lancaster launch night and such a fabulous evening
I will purchase one of their watches when the time is right
Simply superb! Thank you
Beautiful story, beautifully shot and told. Again FFS. You earned that one!
You got us again Oisin. Tears flowing. How i'd love to visit those guys. Thank you so much for getting them to share.
What a wonderful video on so many levels. Well done everyone.
Beautiful video. Excellent
Yes don't take things for granted, truly a Great Video.
Great video as usual, I will definitely purchase one of these watches one day. Iv tried one on at the lws and loved it , this is what a watch brand should be not just an investment.
Stunning video 👏🏻 Truly sentimental pieces of history made timeless.
I’m glad such brands would spend content money through the right channel. This will allow us to enjoy such beautiful content. Plus the brand reaches more focused audience. For instance, I was not aware of this brand. Now they are definitely in my radar ☺️👍
Awe hell you made me cry!
Gorgeous production and especially great choice of music, which is no surprise given your history. Thanks for the quality content!
Oisin you really make the best videos.
This was great, gives us an up close and personal on who is behind the scenes .
Too bad we can’t get all watch makers to give a behind the scenes look at their brand .
Once again great work Oisin .
Stunning video, and also amazing people that creat beautiful and meaningful creations. A big thank you! Me and the wife have decided to buy an apartment in Venice after our honeymoon in May.
Amazing Oisin. The bit about the gentleman's wife got me 😩.
👍🏻👍🏻☺️ great Film or retrospective Docu ... 😉✌🏻🇪🇺
Just FAB! Cheers -
Very very well done. Thank you for this. 🥃
As always a perfect professional wonderful video Oisin your the man bought a spitfire when 1st came out a show stopper and people at Zero West were superb keep up the great work guys and Oisin keep on doing what your doing
What a story. Time is too short.
Wow.
Amazing video. I really would like to buy a watch from these guys but my 6.75 inch wrist has a too small for them. I love their approach to the watches and the stories!
Well that was emotional great but 😢
Who does not want to buy a zero West now is what I want to know.
As a lover of history and nice watches I thoroughly enjoyed this story of Zero West you shared. Thank you very much.
This was very well produced Oisin, great job. Really touching to hear the story at the end. I did not catch all the Zero West drama when you initially were reviewing their watches. I think their story and background are great. They're a bit chunky for me, and the price seems a bit steep, but otherwise they look like great timepieces.
Loving the vid and Edward Elgar. Bravissimo Oisin.
Oisin you always make such great videos. I just watched this video and I had to go put on my S4! Thank you Oisin and thank you Zero West.
Thanks Oisin. You had me from the first piano chords. Excellent video, emotive & informative in equal measure. I'm loving the watches and what I hear from this brand. More power to their elbow!
Thank you Oisin for giving me a nice warm glow feeling this morning after watching your latest offering. Art of ……….. ❤️
Wow!!!!! Award winning 🥇🥇👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I was listening and watching this video on my way home in the car I had to pull over to compose myself.
As always a wonderful made video about 2 gentlemen that are passionate about what they do. Theirs a lot more to a watch than the watch,a moving story. Bravo Oisin
Well Done Oisin. The neighsayers be damn. Truly Lovely.
Simply amazing work/ video great story again
Bravo brother! This is fine art, as are the watches. Very moving, very beautiful. Thank you.
Well worth watching even if you have no interest in watches.
Nice story. Nice music. A variation on Beethoven Opus 13, Pathetique ? (calm down everyone, that’s the title of the piece). A lovely video. I’d like to have one of their watches. They really put their hearts into them.
The music is called Nimrod by Edward Elgar. But you are correct he drew inspiration from it.
Aesthetically this brand of watch is not for me...but what a beautiful and wonderful story of two peoples passion and hard work, bringing such joy to the watch community with such craft and consideration of what's gone before. All power and success to them and I will follow and support their journey, thanks to year another beautifully and artistic film that you have made Oisin. Thnku.
