Adam manages this task amazingly because he is an incredibly skilled vocalist. I wish he would emerge from this (boring) mainstream pop soup and eventually start writing songs that honoured the potential of his voice. I thik that would be his unique kind of magic.

I don't think Adam is underrated. His concerts, be it Queen or himself, are sold out in minutes. He has, thank goodness, an unlimited supply of energy and talent t oil call on. He works hard, performs very often, and always gives it all he's got. He never short changes his fans, and his talent has no bounds. I'm crazy about his green suit, no shirt, and huge gold chain. His complex style of outfits is fabulous. O.k. enough said. Yeah, I love Adam Lambert.

For those commenters asking why this didnt become a bigger hit, the album velvet was released just before COVID hit. So all the media promotions got cancelled as the world panicked and tried to understand how the virus worked. There was no TV promotions, no interviews with adam promoting the album. It is fair to say that Velvet wasnt able to reach a bigger audience, especially here in Asia, where Adam was really known. For me, Velvet is Adam's best album, but it seems to have the least sales, thanks to COVID.
Absolutely. The week before this was released was when all heck broke loose in the US. A national emergency was ordered on March 13th and the album came out on the 20th (stay-at-home orders, State Department called for all American citizens to return home from abroad). Promo appearances in LA, NYC & London were canceled. Adam took it all in stride considering the enormity of it all and took to IG often. It had to be disappointing for him, but he never showed it. I remember him saying something to the effect that people should take the time to sit down and listen to complete albums in the era of singles.
I'm just not sure if it helps or hurts an artist when they release so many singles prior to the release of the album. Velvet: Side A & Side A (Live) were great, but that was 6 singles. Plus Feel Something was already out. Half the songs were out and the album felt short at 45 minutes. I miss albums being a hour or longer.

Recently got diagnosed with breast cancer, and just spent 5 days in the hospital with Sepsis because of it! This video popped up when I came on CZcams today, and just by listening to it and watching it yet again, he has reminded me that all will be right with the world, as long as we all claim our 'superpower" and never give up or give in! Yep. FLAWLESS! I have never in my life heard such a perfect voice... and he is beyond handsome. I could watch him sing or talk all day. Unbelievable!
