NO, use a flexible pipe connector that you can buy that has two different size ends and clamps to make it air tight. This will easily assemble and disassemble unlike the solution shown in the video.

I connected mine with duct tape 😂. It works but I like your idea so much better. Thanks for this vid

Nah this is a better solution. No need for clamps and this method is also air tight using friction.

Once the pipe is fitted onto the sander, can it be removed easily?
It can be remove with ease.
For those that don't have a blowtorch you can use a heat gun. They have to start making these attachments universal😂

Couldn’t you just bond the PVC with PVC cement?
