Let's appreciate the writers for showing us a healthy relationship, and one where the woman is out doing things while her boyfriend cheers her on. What a great show to raise kids on!!
I also like that he also has his own personality and hobbies unlike most movies having a boring ass dude get a perfect or at least interesting girl for no reason. And he has his own insecurities but despite those Barbie mutually gives her love and trust to Ken. It's really wholesome.

I will say this now. Tomorrow. Every day. Barbie life in the dreamhouse Ken is the best boyfriend ever and he is one of the first reasons my expectations became so high.
As dumb as he may seem on the surface, Ken is actually the smartest most thoughtful boyfriend ever. Boy can literally build an ai and tennis playing bicycle robot like it's nothing. Boy will always try his best to make sure not only Barbie, but her sisters and her friends have a wonderful day. Boy makes sure that if something went wrong under his account, he takes full responsibility and does all he can to fix it. He is supportive of his girlfriend, always makes sure every one of their anniversaries are the best day ever. I can go on and on about how great of a character he is. Everyone in this show is great in their own way. I particularly have a soft spot for Midge cuz I just find her adorbs. But without Ken, life in the dreamhouse wouldn't be half of what it is. A timeless spectacular show which I will definitely show my children.

Both dreamhouse barbie and ken are just more sweet. Like barbie keeps acknowledging ken and being thankful to him and ken is more confident in his masculinity.
But at the core, both versions still have the "necessities" to be a barbie and ken character. But at the same time they added different things to each versions that end up making them different people. And thats why barbie on screen will always be fresh. Every iteration slightly changes up the characters
Movie Ken(s) wasn’t given a job or careers, they didn’t have a home either, so of course Dreamhouse Ken had more things to do even though it still ended up being him just simping for Barbie but at least he has jobs like Barbie unlike Movie Ken

To be fair this Dreamhouse Ken has his insecurities like with there is this one episode with his cousin or brother, and thinks he couldn't be as good him. But what I like about the Dreamhouse one is how they handled that insecurity with Ken.
