You cannot imagine how very much I enjoy your music, Geoff!!! This time you've chosen from the "Cream-of-the-Crop"--a [now] perennial favorite that was played at many weddings and graduation parties when it came out. A beautiful song with an appropriate background from "Top Gun". The kids and I played with a popular jet plane during this time. One of those toys that you pull back [on the floor] over and over--then release and watch it speed to the nearest wall...and crash!!! Also inspired by this movie!!
I loved what I call your 'overrides' toward the end [higher-pitched, perhaps?] Paired well with the ascent sounds of this fighter jet. As you often do---you made my day!!! Love, Von

Hi Geoff!!! What a great song it's one of my all-time favorites. The movie was pretty darn good too. I really like the way you composed your version of the song. A short story about aircraft carriers. I had my walking papers to get out of the Army, and the mail guy handed me an envelope with new orders. I was to transfer to the aircraft carrier USS Lexington. This was due to the Cuban Missile. By the time I had repacked my uniform, etc., another knock on my door. This envelope rescinded my first orders. That's it, I missed a war by one day!!! One day is too close for me. Now that you are bored silly, I'll let you go. I hope you are doing well, Not too bad over here. Just wet. Take care and I'll be talking to you later Peace, my friend.
